I posted this the other day in the "Jobs Available > American Eagle Hiring" thread, but it's more at home here. (Moderators, feel free to delete the duplicate posting)
Received the "pre-offer of employment" letter. Looks like I may need to change my signature soon. =)
4 of 7 interviewees were offered the job. The gouges here are up-to-date and right on:
http://www.willflyforfood.com/pilot-...can-Eagle.html I printed out a stack and read through them, looking up anything I wasn't sure of.
I bought 1.5 hours in a Baron sim with a furloughed American pilot in the right seat (who used to be on their pilot hiring board) and this helped me out tremendously. Here is the company's website:
http://www.simcheckinternational.com/ for those who live close enough to Sacramento.
Something which helped me gain a lot of confidence for the tech portion of the interview was reading through (more like scanning through) Jeppesen's Chart Clinic, a series of 30 in-depth articles which were published in AOPA magazine a few years back:

As all the gouges say, make sure your airlineapps.com information is ACCURATE and there are no surprises when they do the background/employment verification or look through your log books. I'm at 2370TT, 155 multi, 1200ish turbine, 75 in the past 6 mo, current 135 job, CFII&MEI, 2 years of college. As far as the other guys hired- 1 was a Guard KC-135 pilot, another was a Comair CRJ FO about to be furloughed, and the other was a CFI. Like I said in a previous post, I don't think I would have received the invitation to interview without the face time I had with AE recruiters at ACE '10.
Hope this helps somebody!
