XJT AIP

Clearly the MECs, except for the 3 that said no, didn't recognize the power of having a strategic communication specialist within our pilot group.

Social media is becoming a highly unifying tool for both pilot groups. Quite impressive really.

Maybe eventually "leadership" will realize you can't stand with the traditional "closed door/don't say anything" communication philosophy.

Yup. Like most, I had the TA in hand DAYS before it was released.

And other peoples summaries have been head and shoulders above what the MEC released.

My biggest gripe is having to call scheduling back on overnights. There's no effing way.

For me it's a tie:

No duty rig
Moveable days off for reserves
Block out based on aircraft movement

No ACTUAL MMG. If you bid to fly less than 75, you get 65. What's the point in having one?

Leave the bidding stuff the way it is as it pertains to the TLV.

You like those huh?

;)

Back to the negotiating table. Likely with continued mediation from the NMB.

I don't think the mediation is going to help much due to the concessions that Endeavor took, as well as some of the other truly awesome contracts out there. It's a poop sandwich.

I'm not saying you should vote yes, but I don't think things are going to improve.

Status quo is better than this TA. By the way, is everyone a member of the massive Facebook discussion group?

Edit: By everyone I mean actual ExpressJet pilots.

It will when the industry changes. For that to happen UA and DL need to be told that their contractors can't staff the airplanes at current rates. I think the RJ industry is going to shrink dramatically in the next 5 years.

I'd rather XJT shut down than work under that new TA.

The company shrinking is inevitable. Unfortunately a lot of folks are going to see it as "OMG we voted 'No' and now they're shutting us down! Concessions or GTFO!!!1!11!!" Educate folks out on the line. The writing's on the wall for this place. If you are one of those willing to go down with the ship then good for you, but I'm not taking a pay cut for you to drown.

I was, but I couldn't stand that much angry every time I checked my phone.

Don't get me wrong, the TA sucks, and I'm a no vote. But being that angry takes entirely too much energy. Read the contract, decide it sucks, and vote when the time comes. I don't understand everyone's need to be personally offended by it. At least not anymore so than we do every time we show up for work at this gong show.
