What should a newbe do in prior to entry in 121 world

Single point deferred in the RJ? Well when you finally get the fueler to stop single point refueling you (yes, it's entirely possible they will try and potentially accomplish it even though it's not supposed to be used...), just have the fueler fill it up on one side, and if you need more, "powered cross flow manual" then "tank you want fuel into".

Bonus for us, flight crew is authorized to do single point refuel procedure. Yay! (not.)

I liked it when the single point was deferred and the fueler asks you how many gallons to put into each side. I usually had to start with a "how many pounds does a gallon of Jet A weigh again?" Then five minutes of calculations while both pilots try to get the same number. Finally we get it and then add a 50% just-to-be-extra-safe factor onto the fuel slip.
