What plane do you have nostalgia for?

Not one that I have flown, but one I spent hours watching from Vulture's Row:

I am almost jumped into the net when one landed a little port of CL and the wing look like it was out of the foul line. The LSO didn't and I was more afraid of looking like a Wuss than dying. It was all over in .2 secs anyway... 25 yr olds for you.

You were an Brown shoe, right, not a cruise ship sailor? Just making sure...I thought I had seen some side saddle comments on here.

I am not calling you out, just making sure I know something after the few conversations we've had on here...

Damned cruise ship sailor...is that pic big enough????:D

Hi Jim, how you doin'?:hiya:

yea, yea, already edited it before you replied.....:p

Come on man....I went where Uncle Sam told me.....Checked in 7/25/92 WestPac, 08/1/92.... :bandit:

Just another lazy day in the cube farm....

A certain 1946 J3 off a grass strip in New Hampshire in the summertime.

Ahhh youth, wasted on the young...if I only knew then what I know now, what a time I would have had!

And of course flying 'solo' in the T38, as much fun as you can have with your pants on, and Uncle buys the gas!

Whatever...I caught it but didn't quote it since I did not want it repeated numerous times on here...heading where the internet is not strong soon.

Good to hear. I saw your msg on FB but haven't replied. Sorry.:o

T210N
S35
E55

The S35 might be in my hangar in the next few years, but the other two will have to wait a bit longer.

Side sitting is different from side saddle. Side saddle I think is a equestrian term.
Just check the profile was a NFO Nav and Ewo currently USAFR. 24 yrs service and I wear oak leaves. Why call anyone out-heard of PMs? and by the way, shoes (last I heard can wear brown shoes). So no back in the day, when aviators wore brown shoes and no one else I was not a shoe (meaning ship drivers etc), wouldn't be caught dead in khakis and black shoes. Satisified there teufelhund?

addition: my bad, not sure of your service, got you confused with FSI flyer. My aplogies :-)

So far the 206 I flew with the stol kit and extended wingtips was awesome. AWESOME! With a light load you couldn't even get full power in before you were flying.
