What are your 2010 AVIATION goals?

I want to spend more time at home. I am getting tired of calling my house an expensive place to sleep.

Steps include:

1. Get a flying job where I can pay all my bills.
2. Quit my current full time job. 10 years of machining is long enough.

Also, have more flights just for me. No students/bosses. Just go up and have some fun. Did not do that nearly enough this year.

If the first goal pans out, I will be ecstatic. The second will happen regardless.

Bid off the DTW DC9 FO seat.

Don't ever let MadDoggyDog have your company password. He'll leave a swath of destruction with his "helpful" bids :(

Awww, come one DTW isnt that bad, at least your A Terminal, you get more buses. :)

I'd like to finally start utilizing my CFI certs. Got two students lined up, getting checked out at PTK on monday, and pushing hard to fill up my student list, Hardcore goal is to get to 135 mins, 900 hours...but somewhat unrealistic in this economy, but 500+ would make me happy, and I think is doable.

- Break 100 TT (7.5 to go and nothing particularly scary has happened yet :) )

- Regain currency and EXERCISE my Tailwheel Endorsement that I got back in August and haven't touched since. :( (Fun trips around CA that can count towards my 50 hr PIC XC for the Instrument Rating are in order.)

- Spin recovery / Basic aerobatics in the Citabria.

- Start Instrument training.

- Transfer from community college to a four-year college Aerospace Engineering program in the fall.

Good question, it got me thinking. Do I just continue as is?, or do I make a goal?

Things I'd like to do include:

1) get a single engine sea rating
2) visit Oshkosh for the first time ( bid for leave then, but didn't get it )
3) become a type rating examiner on the 777
4) start a crew leasing company

Become a PARACHUTIST IN COMMAND, FAR 105, aka Tandem Instructor. I need 300 more jumps. I have, 200 already. Those guys make some bucks!

Man, anything to do with tandems scares me. I have no interest in ever being a passenger or tandem master. That's probably why it pays so well! ;)

As for me, my goal is to finish my A license as soon as it warms up this spring, jump as much as I can, and have my B license / coach rating by the end of the summer.

Oh yeah, and when it comes to my *piloting* goals...get my ATP.

Not sure that I'll have the time or money for both though. In that case, I know where my priorities are...............skydiving! :rawk:

CFI (which I start tomorrow) and CFII and stop having to pay for hours. Maybe MEI too.
Get a flying job so I can leave line work behind

Finish CFI checkride (next week).
Get instrument current.
High performance endorsement.
Attend NJC 2010.
By year-end hopefully get CFII.
Have fun and don't dent anything.
