US Airways Hiring

So with the fact that this position is TDY to start will they be picking up lodging while in PIT?

Also what does this position PAY?

We're you able to give references and stuff like how you'd preferred to be contacted? I clicked the box that asked if I read the above information and it basically froze. Weird
I was able to give references and 10 year history without problem. In the email it say to double check to make sure i have the history and references list, if not listed within 48 hours of email i would be disqualified for the position. So I hope it went through.

I was finally able to complete the application from my phone. Tried a laptop last night and it didn't work. Tried again on my phone this morning and for whatever reason worked, although it was a pain in the ***. Should be interesting, especially with southwest supposedly posting something on Monday. I will hate to give up my schedule but it's worth it in the long run, I guess.

I hope my information went through successfully. I am really confident about this and the potential Southwest job. FedEx is also going to hire. Ahhhhh!! This will be a career mover and I will not move from wherever I go and retire there. Assuming I get one of the jobs. Haha

Does they have a lot of experienced internal applicants? People who got dispatch experience somewhere, and then went to work for FedEx?
No. They have a license and meet the requirements to work as a dispatch at FedEx. There is no previous experience required for internal applicants at fedex, however if you do have previous experience, or are actively dispatching elsewhere, that does give you a competitive advantage.

I take it you work for FedEx now? What are requirements for internal vs. external?

Yes and I was an external hire. Depending on which pay grade they post for (Specialist 1 or 2). Typically they are looking for 3 years 121 experience, and a college education, or combination of experience.

Just out of curiously, what is the percentage of daytime flying vs. nighttime flying?

I think offers should be going out his week or next week since the new class is supposed to start the first week in January. As for the posting and people who weren't interviewed before it was reported...there is likely to be another class on both sides after the ones in place now that would be before the new building opens. It may be a few weeks before calls go out on that one.
