lol no. not the "today show" you people watch to much TV I don't think I've even watched the "Today Show". People on other threads and forums said the Reps have been saying they would start calling with class dates this week. However this is 2nd hand from another forum so take it for what it is...
 
so i just got a call from my poc.... academy sept 8. its real real short notice... but that's all she said she had for right now
 
me too just got the message have to call her in the morning kinda scrambling to find housing and such but totaly excited. See you there
 
yea im pretty excited. its kinda rough finding housing this late. i got lucky because a room opened at corporate solutions or whatever its called
 
I'm trying the craigslist route to get something really cheap but I did find a place for 39 a day but if I find a craigslist room for 400 or so a month thats cheap and that will be the way I go.

Well I saw you got your class call today, good luck with housing and getting there next week! You inspired me, I didn't have a signature either so if I add mine today, will I get my call for class date today too? Hopefully! How did your wife's interview go? Good luck!

I don't know a whole lot about this, I don't have FOL or any paperwork yet but one one other thread I was reading before the reorganization, someone was saying that the FAA per diem rules are only for corporate apartment buildings, I don't know if renting a room or whatever on craigslist is eligible, so make sure to double check on that...

The list is outdated....According to Student Services you do not have to live in corporate housing to receive full per diem. The only restriction is that you can not live with a friend or family member.
 
I received a call at 1900hr ET last night asking if I wanted to go to the Academy on Sept 8 (in 5 days). Since all my stuff has cleared they thought they would give me a try. I said I couldn't do it, but it was very tempting and I thought about it for like the next 10mins.

He said that my HR rep would be contacting me once the FAA released them to fill the November class dates. I don't know if that meant I would likely be going in November or not, but it sounded like it.

That is a tuff pill to swallow!!!....I don't think I could pick up in leave in five days.
 
Any of you ZTL fellas in the October 2nd class got your FOL yet? It's supposed to be by the end of this week and I've been out of town for 5 days. I was hoping to see it in my email inbox when I got home but not yet. :banghead:
 
OK, today is 6 weeks since my PEPC and nothing. It seems like quite a few people already have at least class dates, I want mine. I called my HR Rep last week and she said she had enough clearances in for me but wasn't scheduling class dates until late next week or early this week. I tried calling her this week but got voicemail, which was not returned. Should I try calling her again or just wait? What do you ask when you call? There are other people with no date and FOL yet, right?

yup, you're hardly alone (quite a few terminal guys/gals still waiting on class dates and FOL for many weeks and months)
