The Attack on the 2nd Amendment Continues

The good news is, if this piece of trash gets signed, the SCOTUS will certainly overturn it based upon the last set of bullet points. The current SCOTUS would never allow nationwide mandatory registration of firearms.

You misplaced some faith in Boehner the other day. I believe you are misplacing some faith in the SCOTUS today. Roberts is more concerned with public perception of the court than anything else. I'm not as comfy with them.

Sorry. Whenever I see "AWB" I think of the music group the "Average White Band"

Yeah, I've earned these Grey hairs.

Gun registry for AKs/ARs/hell, even SKSes? Not a flipping chance. You'll have civil insurrection. She might as well try to ban slingshots. It is to lul.

Highly doubt another AWB would pass. '94 passed because there was no precedent, and it "sounded" like an effective idea. After seeing just how much of an ineffective piece of legislation it was, I very much doubt it could have any weight to pass, as the "cat's out of the bag" now in terms of it's total and complete ineffectiveness.

I can see the high-cap mag ban passing. I think it's unlikely, but it's possible. So I'll be loading up. But any sort of national gun registry is a freaking My Little Pony Star Castle Fantasy. The Crypt Keeper might as well click her heels together and try to get back to Oz. It's ludicrous.

Just got the email for the preliminary plans regarding my roles and responsibilites in support of the U.N. central collection points that will be standing up in town squares and city halls.

BLACK HELICOPTER PILOT! See, he admitted it! Now I need to go post this on worldnetdaily and explain that they "got to you" when you protest that it was a joke. I've broken the code!

According to our directives, once the people's attendance at the U.N. checkpoints for weapons turn-in begins to peter out, we're then to break out the pre-approved federal bench warrants for searches of citizens homes for guns to be seized. These U.N. pre-approved and pre-signed bench warrants have the name, address, and date fields blank, allowing for easy and convenient pen and ink fill-in by law enforcement as-needed for the residence to be searched.

Fairly efficient system so far.....seems all the t's are crossed and i's dotted.

I never really understood the focus on banning high-capacity magazines. Two of the most common drills is clearing a jam and changing magazines. What's the thinking?

We gonna paint the White House black, TRICK!

Man, I've dropped three overtly racist barbs in my forum before 1600. I think I'm on a roll.

If they want to ban rifle mags over 30 rounds, I could go along with that.

100 rd drum mags are fun but, they may be the battle we lose to win the war.

While they don't serve a whole lot of purpose, I don't think we should accept an arbitrary line anywhere. 30 is just as arbitrary a number as 10 is.

Unfortunately that type of opinion is no different than the hunter who thinks that, because his shotgun and bolt action rifle are not in danger, that he shouldn't have to worry about this bill at all.

It isn't thinking. It is simply ignorant people who are focusing on unimportant details that appear to be scary.

Everybody is also forgetting that in 1994, we had a Democratic House. It was something like 245 Democrats. But with such big numbers, and before the days of many Democrats realizing how much of a death sentence gun control was to their reelection prospects, still only 217 Democrats voted in favor. It ratified by just one vote. Now with a pro-gun Republican Congress, plus rural Democrats that know they're screwed if they vote for gun control, I just can't see something like this passing. Even the old version of the bill before dingbat Feinstein made it even more unconstitutional.

Since it won't be introduced until after the first of the year, '2013' is even more appropriate.
