You must live a sheltered life if that really is the “worst kind of person” you can think of. The discussion about stocks are off the table, but the ironic part is mergers happen with no regard to employees, they happen simply to enrichen shareholders. Period, full stop. When jetBlue said $55/share for VX, no one cared it was a similar model, similar fleet, and an easy integration of both relatively new carriers. All that mattered was Alaska offered $57/share and that was $2/share more. Never mind the vast fleet differences, brand/model differences, employee longevity and seniority differences, and the general fact it was like mixing an apple and a pizza. And I don’t think many people cared when our east coast base closed, families relocated cross the country, and pilots displaced off as their airplanes were parked. I was basically told I hit the lottery through all of this.


I do sympathize for anyone at F9 and NK going through a merger. Not sure how many you have gone through, but personally after gone through two myself, I don’t really wish it upon anyone.

Yes, one should crush the other, see the planes repainted as flying billboards to advertise car rentals and payday loans, and to hear the lamentation of the stapled. An acquisition masqueraded as a merger for those that might oppose, but can be deceived.
 
I guess I did come off as insensitive. The fact is that after having gone through two mergers and 2 binding arbitration SLIs as an employee who got to witness the merger crap both times, I am glad to be on the other side of the table for once - the investor side. I can see that rub off wrong on a forum meant to help pilots. So for that I apologize.

But the responses above, are childish. Grow up and act like men.

I do know CC. He obviously has some issues, but everyone does. He is clearly NOT the “worst kind of person.” But someone who devotes almost all his posts on this forum attacking other people personally, as Mike does? Yeah, that’s pretty bad.
 
I really don't think CC is that bad and I've really come to agree with Todd on a lot of things over the years. Especially the fact this forum really can be very dramatic and clicky. And I think a lot of it has to do with politics in the lavatory. Which is why I avoid that place as best as I can and have my JC in doses. People need to lighten up. Dish it if you can take it, laugh it off.

We're all like a family here, imo. Enough of the bickering. Let's move on. There's enough toxicity in the world to begin with outside of our forum.
