Southwest Opening Sept.

Does anyone know the breakdown (Internals, DL, AA, UA, B6, Ect.) of the 40 or so people, for the next April class?

13 internals
7 Envoy
4 SkyWest
3 FedEx
2 Allegiant
1 United
1 American
1 GoJet
1 ATI
1 Spirit
1 Frontier
2 non-121 dispatch

Apologies for the months-late response, but this was just revealed to the group today.

Also, per management, there will likely not be any further hiring until at least mid-2025.

Yay seniority! Welcome new hires. Hope you like Corn

I don't think Southwest has ever furloughed any employees in their entire history, although the way they treated an expected new hire DX class that got their offers right before COVID hit was scandalous IMO.

Voluntary time off programs to a ton of ramp agents and gate agents work group, stopped flying to some cities in Mexico and that was attributed to the MAX issues this summer. Nothing I can think of offhand, nor recall any news, of furloughs though.
