Southwest Opening Sept.

Wouldn't give him any credit
Eh. If that were the actual case (could be, who knows?) then it’d be very obvious during the technical interview. Assuming he made it past the phone screening lol. From what I’ve read and from those I’ve spoken with, knowledge and skill are half the battle with getting a job at southwest. They’re looking for a specific type of employee and have been known to turn down candidates who were qualified but didn’t pass the vibe check during the HR phase.

The problem is they go of the score first therefore yes peeps might get thru round one but others that would be a “better” fit personality wise get dropped b4 it even gets to the interview!
AA loves the nepotism model my prediction in 2030 their DX force will have 5 last names on the seniority list😂.
Maybe WN needs to look into that🤬

That’s why I don’t have all my eggs in one basket application wise. AA was the only airline I didn’t care to work for so I didn’t put in but every other ULCC and major that opens I’ve put in for. The job market that our dispatch schools were hyping us up about has expectedly cooled down so it’s become a game of taking the first one chance you get. Seems to be a lot easier to make a lateral move then to move from out of the regional environment.

Also based on the username of that person , maybe WN could take a look at any applicants they got from YV and see if anyone from there had a near perfect score. If you’re gonna cheat, at least don’t make it obvious. You gotta miss a few.

Remember hes/she/it is the smartest and best DX. How dare you question his intelligence 😂
But yea score is important WN wants more than just perfect score!
Yes test was maybe not as tough as anticipated but still the arrogance of that person is just ridiculous. I messed up with only 22 minutes do to computer issues but yet no excuse!im afraid WN just looks at the pure score to move on, and not by resume/score and possible references…

Yeah that’s a stroke of bad luck for sure. But with the immense number of applications each major gets they’ve got to find ways to help narrow down candidates one way or another. Hopefully all goes well, but if not, it’s not the end of the world for sure. Despite being from the south, when it comes to a list of places I’d live if I had a choice, Texas ranks very low on that list. The only thing that draws me to WN is the culture, their 401k matching, and most importantly…. Dolla dolla bill y’all.

How much is the 401k match?

It’s a bit comical, these comments really did tear into someone based off some silly remark or potential joke. Now I hope that person gets it …. Don’t they look for personalities with humor? It’s all about the vibes and aesthetic.

At AA didn't use the nepotism model this round. Instead changing to the "highest test score" model. Let's see how that works out this round 😅

I got a 36/40 but I went really fast and did all 40 with 9 mins to spare. Then I went back and looked over a few odd ball questions.
In the past, they stated that the cutoff was approx 80%. But Im sure that slides up when they have 350 applicants.
Ya think?

I would not rail against nepotism when you can only score a 77% on a basic dispatch knowledge test with 5 years experience at a legacy.

SWA is in need of staffing for flightkeys so a low score might be enough to slip through this time.
