If I remember correctly, the 145 would do .56 up to FL370 in FLCH once it transitioned from FPM to mach.Nothing like going .58 at FL250! Beat that

100% of anything benefitwise is better for pilots than inflight.
It will always be that way.
You can be a bartender on Monday, and 3 weeks later be a full fledged FA.
Can't do that for a 121 pilot, or any commercial pilot really.
That is called a commodity. As such, they are valued differently.
Ergo, maternity "situation."

Absolutely, and of course it's reflected in your paycheck.
The price of oil isn't the same as copper. Both of which are commodities.

I don't think any of us get treated as badly as the FAs do sometimes, and most think ours is not the worst place out there.
It's a shame. They are, for the most part, such wonderful people.

How? I thought DL was at it's scope limits for 70/76 seaters. Also... how do you guys own your own planes, when everyone else is leasing their planes from mainline?

All I know is OO management doesn't like leasing from mainline. They want to own all their planes. Part of how the AA flying expanded rapidly once the UA 700 flying went away. Most went on to fly for AA.

They may be for AS. I believe some of the 175s that were originally planned to go to Horizon have been redistributed to OO.

Expressjet is removing 33 CRJ-700s from their fleet currently operated as Delta Connection. Three are being transferred to Endeavor (the planes are owned by Delta), which leaves 30 available 70-seat jets in the DCI system. With the 15 70 seat "E175 SC" aircraft, that leaves 15 more spots up for grabs in the DCI system.
Inc has quite the cash reserve, as well as a good credit rating. Plus management feels the risk in having to find homes for the planes outweighs the risks of mainline taking their toys back and not having any work for a potentially large number of crews with no planes to put them in.
