Skywest Questions

I'd do what everyone else told you. Take the first class. I was a 01/02 hire. I now sit at 3750/4300. Already 550 pilots below me. I realize people want to wait to fly the "better" jet but nothing wrong with the CRJ. Guys in my class commuted for 2 months until they could hold SFO. I've flown some SFO crew trips and they were awesome! Granted the only two domiciles I want here is SLC or SFO, so I'm a little biased. ;)

SLC for training is fun too! Lots to do, close to everything. Seniority is everything!

Yeah less than a months difference in hire date and nearly 100 #

When I was going to sims in STL I was flying from ORD and because everyone was getting MSP based they were only using Delta to fly people around. Because of weather I ended up getting stuck in MSP and they put me up in the Radisson Blue which was a pretty awesome first hotel experience at Skywest. Unfortunately I think the only nicer place I've stayed at was the Wooleys in Denver. However, coming from aerial survey work as long as I don't stay at the Howard Johnson in Jackson, MS ever again I'll be fine

My room in Mont Tremblant as arranged by the company
I thought that was a silly idea to spend four nights there (with that job I'd have a daily allowance for hotel/food/etc that I was free to choose how to spend), so I traded it for a rental car and drove all around Quebec.
Hotel room needs to be clean and quiet, unless I'm sleeping there or feeling like reading a book for a couple of hours I'm not gonna be there.

Given the opportunity, explore.
I didn't learn to fly to sit in a hotel room.

Still easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I did think all the religious tracts about Hell were fitting given the smoke smell, though. Definitely puts the less stellar hotels my company uses in perspective.

Does anyone know: is it the 'Flight Standards' department, or 'Professional Standards', or both, that has/have volunteer positions for FO's?

Seeing as the recent RSR shows increasing reserve times, I should probably do something better with my time than watching grass grow.

Actually as per our new contract growth is imminent so you should be moving up in no time

We lost the BLU but both the MSP Short- and Long- stays are still there at MOA.

Is there a way I can view the current the current seniority list? I'm just curious as to where I would be had I stayed

None of the above.

If you want to be a ProStands or CIRP volunteer, you need to talk to SAPA.
