Could someone please point me in the right direction for departing an airport without a SID? I can't seem to find any information in the SOPM/FOM/OPSPECS.
Thank you!

If we are required to fly an odp in absence of a sidWhat is it you want to know?
After reading the link ahead I'm going to say yes.If we are required to fly an odp in absence of a sid

Not to be a jerk, but....duh.After reading the link ahead I'm going to say yes.
No worries man! Wanted to give credit to the poster above who actually provided the FAR rather than just say yesNot to be a jerk, but....duh.
More in the spirit of, it's a little worrying to me that we have guys flying (or about to be flying) jets that are really asking if O(as in, obstacle) DPs are mandatory. Isn't this like day one of IFR ground school material? No worries man! Wanted to give credit to the poster above who actually provided the FAR rather than just say yes![]()
It certainly is but I'm not the one who asked the question.More in the spirit of, it's a little worrying to me that we have guys flying (or about to be flying) jets that are really asking if O(as in, obstacle) DPs are mandatory. Isn't this like day one of IFR ground school material?
I guess better to learn these lessons with a more experienced pilot next to you operating in a vast system designed to prevent you from screwing up than single pilot in a prop plane. It certainly is but I'm not the one who asked the question.
I don't think it's that worrisome. I'm not going to judge a brain fart like I don't have them. I'd rather have someone come here and get it clarified (or reaffirmed) than bite their tongue for some pride. I'm sure he's a smart guy.

Thank you.C077 is the opspec you are looking for. You are required to comply with the ODP, SID, or ATC assigned departure unless you do a VMC climb. The stipulation with doing a VMC climb has to do with obstacle analysis. Following the aerodata climb profile meets the requirement for that.
Check out page 55 in the FOM/FAR cross reference for more info. If you don't know how to find that, its on SWOL info center-bulletins-training.
Make your life easier and just fly the ODP unless you have some other IFR climb instructions...VMC climbs are very EM2, and we don't do that anymore.C077 is the opspec you are looking for. I think the more valuable discussion would be to answer the question as asked. Not if we can ignore an ODP when there is no SID (no) but what to do under the unusual circumstance that there is no SID or ODP and you are cleared "as filed." This is where the confusion may lie. How about we answer that and back it up with a reference?
Same limitationno idea about the ERJ).
