Skywest Questions

Same same. I have good QOL (for a regional). Good paying trips over the weekends. 95 hours/month 16-18 days off. I also bid ~20%. Results not typical for new hires.

CRJ FO here running mostly 90-95 hours a month. Getting 14-18 days off per month. I'm definitely happy with QOL. But I'm also bidding <20% right now.
Similar credit, a couple less days off. It's not a bad life, the life at sea.

Bidding 80%

As said... Do not come to the ERJ unless you want to live in base and not work. Then again all this stuff could change.

New member here. Had a few questions about OO. Since the topic at hand is about the CRJ staffing, my questions are for the CRJ side. Is it difficult to manage a decent QOL of life with the 90+ hour months? Are you guys and gals able to get more than the min days off?

The way that quite a few people I know at OO drink the kool-aid, there isn't much of a difference. That said, I know not all of you are the bad types, but there are enough there...

Oh lord, if I had a nickel for every time one of my past Captains at Legacy *insert regional airline* said that management 'liked' us better and they hoped the other side of the fence got what was coming to them... well I could probably at least buy breakfast at McDonald's.

Seriously, many pilots are greedy by nature. A shame really, but it's no wonder you'll never ever ever see a national seniority list.

I'm the only idiot you'll meet who lived in base and hated it. Transferred out and commute and I'm MUCH happier...

You sounded like me when I was based in MCO.

One day over BITHO intersection, I realized that it wasn't the I-4 traffic that I was stressed about.

Ha! Yea driving to work wasn't worth doing 6 on 2 off when I could commute to 3-4 on 3-4 off.

My, and my New Years resolution was to cease using the term "idiot." ;)

With this said, my memory tells me you were in Fresno...so...
