Skywest Questions

So here's a question, I've got multi sim 141 time...can that be used just for the overall time? That won't be counted as using multi sim time will it?

For multi time you can use up to 25 hours to meet the 50 hour requirement for ATP.
Looking ahead in the future, majors don't like having sim time accounted in your total time. But you can define you use it

I know about the multi time...I'm asking if I use multi sim time for the ATP total time requirement, if that's going to have to be used for multi sim time as welI...or if I can just count it for the ATP total time.

Also, I'm not logging it as total time just using it for the ATP requirement.

For us that depended on which sim slots you got. Some started the next morning, and some had about a 2 week wait. I had about a week between. It was welcome. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
I went 50 days straight. Forgot to bring my headset to class.

So...no idea when you guys are opening Detroit? Gotta be soon right? Anyone? Would be great to meet some of our West coast brothers and sisters. We have lounge space and I'm sure we will share. The merging of East Coast and West Coast. Let's make it happen. At least in Detroit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
it was the rumor at the schoolhouse a month ago but haven't heard boo since but I'm at ORD. He have trips that start with a DH to DTW and end with a DH from ATL. I believe they are doing the same from MSP.

Just what those of us in DTW need, more pilots with SIDA badges to give the airport more reason to try to take them from the rest of us...

From what I heard a month ago in recurrent is the company doesn't want to open a base in DTW....right now. I guess Delta won't commit to a certain amount of block hours there and they don't wanna get burned again like ATL a few years back... This was all a month ago so that info has likely changed.

I had the week off between ground and sim, then a couple days between that and differences, then I went straight into IOE, which I was done with and on reserve 2 weeks later. I was pretty brain fried at that point. The next month I ended up with a block of 9 days off, can't tell you how welcome that was.

Some people waited 2 months for IOE... I feel like that would be equally bad.

And this would be a -200 base that Delta is allegedly interested in doing?

No idea why Delta would want OO to open a 200 base in DTW, considering they already have 2 airlines in DTW with 200 bases.

It doesn't really matter what bases Delta wants their carriers to have. The fact is OO is doing a ton of DTW flying. OO can open or close a base at their own accord and make trips originate from other bases at their own leisure. My best guess is OO doesn't want to commit to opening a base as they're afraid of having to close it in the future. Just like SkyWest did with ATL years ago, and like they have done once with IAH.

Mesa, Expressjet, and SkyWest have a United IAH base.

Endeavor, SkyWest and Compass have a Delta MSP base.

Transtates, Republic, and SkyWest had a United base at DEN all at once. Republic recently pulled out with the Q400s.

Not sure but we do a ton of 200 flying out of DTW. SKW doesn't want to open it as a base just to close it like they did with ATL a few years back... so for now I spose they'll just keep deadheading us on both ends of the trip.

I get that, I'm not saying it doesn't make sense. Sometimes, it seems like it would make more sense to not spread all the carriers so thin between hubs, but what do I know.
