Skywest Questions

The Trader Joe’s principle only works when you pay more than the (union) competition and treat your people better than the (union) competition.

Dunno, I know a lot of your guys. And a lot of them take serious issue with ALPA's 2%. It's frustrating to hear and to always have to explain. But it's typically always followed by. "I was at Brand X before coming to OO. They were ALPA, They never got anything done." Blah, blah, blah.

I am so happy the vote was a NO. And not just a no, but a resounding landslide of a no.
I really don't know if SGU thought this was a serious offer or if this was just a low ball to test the waters. Either way, we sent a very clear message!

I really hope that RJ’s latest message was in earnest, and that he truly means what he wrote. I agree that we need insustry-leading compensation and QOL improvements. Perhaps I give him too much credit, for last week he was blowing up our inboxes “how the deal was decent and we should look into it”.

Things have changed a lot with the SkyWest demographics over the past few years. The old lifer guys that had that opinion now matter a lot less.

If what he just said was in earnest, then what he said before the vote close couldn't have been. He campaigned hard to push this turd through. It's disingenuous of him to be a cheerleader for the TA one day, and suddenly come out and say "yeah, we didn't think this would pass".

Just more proof that he's a paid management mouthpiece.

Agreed

It’s kind of what he does. Remember, he said the last TA was put into place to force management back to the table early? Ya know, the one he pushed and campaigned for like no other? It’s like he thinks we can’t remember things from less than a year ago. #Russforlinepilot.

"We didn't think this would pass"
"We thought we deserved more"
"The pilot group wanted to see something and was getting impatient so I voted yes to send it through. I don't like it at all"

Quotes from SAPA reps over the last month. o_O

Please, tell airline pilots more about working for an airline.

I wish you the best with your unionization efforts as you guys are in the driving seat and have a ton of clout. I just always was a fan of John Candy and thought it was a funny clip.

You’re a fan of John Candy so you post a clip in which John Candy doesn’t have a single line?

That's how funny he is.

I mean anytime I see two actors say lines to one another I'm like "damn, that John Candy sure is funny."

It's a great scene from a movie with him and well worth a watch. That's one of Mike's from Breaking Bad's first roles and the other guy's been a great villain who you might remember from Bladerunner. -I'm happy you guys voted against that garbage TA and hopefull you're next one is much better whether you use union representation or not. I'm not sure why you're so perpetually butthurt even after a victory like that, but hopefully you can cheer up.
