Well. Yes.

However, it seemed unwise to not defer it following the QRH procedure, and it had a history. The real fun was having a station agent, a dispatcher and maintenance controller all talking to me at once in RAP.
I guess you don't know my sense of humor. That's my way of saying "hi"

I just want to give a post and update for all the guys who might be doing the mandated observation flights soon. The crews have been more than welcoming and some are going even beyond that and really lending a helping hand and trying to teach me during the flights as I ride in the jump seat. I will say it has been totally worth it to see how things work, pick up tips, and really try to stay up to speed while I am awaiting IOE. Big shout out to the PHX crews letting me ride and learn. Much appreciated.

While I'm just the FO we are doing AA turns to TVC and GRB tomorrow starting around 1pm out of ORD. CA is cool so I know nonissue if you want to tag along.

The mandatory observation flights are being given to new hires starting ground school now I believe. I was told from the training department my class didn't apply. Supposedly they will give you forms to have the crew you observe fill out to prove you're observing.

So just a heads up for new hires planning that month long vacation... lol

4 flights a week isn't bad at all though.

I did a few observation flights during my wait but I'm glad I got my vacation in.
