I never had a flap problem in the Bro, but apparently errrbody has had a flap problem in the RJ. Come to think of it, I never really had any problem in the Bro. Got 3 hydraulic filter lights in 1 day. Had 1 EEC fail in flight. But that's about it.

I'll miss the porn, too. I hear there's no porn on the RJ. I mean, porn is infinitely available on the internet, but it was always such a nice surprise to see titties when you checked the escape rope. I guess I'm old fashioned that way.

I never had a flap problem, but I would always get confused between disagreement, asymmetry and control fault. Its a fairly simple system, but I would always mix them up.

I always did the porn check..first thing! haha! It did suck tho when ya got the plane tagged with male stripper playing cards.. 569 I think it was...

I had fun, and did manage to go out once a week or so. As long as you study hard and work with your roommate or in a group, you'll be fine. The nice thing is if you can get through Brasilia initial, you can probably get through anything you'll ever see in your career. I did a 91 jet PIC type before SkyWest at FSI, and it was an absolute joke compared to Bro initial.

The other thing to keep in mind is this training department wants you to succeed, and even if you were to have some struggles, they will bend over backwards to help you. I personally saw it with one guy in our class. He had some difficulties, but he worked his ass off. They knew it, and he got through.

Yeah... It really is a completely different airline compared to west coast bro flying. That was some fun stuff. Hopefully I can upgrade on that thing before hell freezes over, I'd love to go back.

I have my doubts about going back. I suppose one should take the upgrade as soon as it's available. But going back to the Bro would be like hooking up with an ex when you know you're just going to hate yourself in the morning.

Okay.... It's not THAT bad, but holy crap is it noisy.

The fleet has been cleaned out pretty good, most of the generic colors have gone through/come from SLC so they're squeaky clean and the rest seem to have been raided by the porn police.


....or so I'm told.

so let's talk about jepp charts.

I need something to put them in. Preferrable as cheap as possible. I feel like 25 bucks for a plastic binder is a ripoff just because it says jeppesen on it.

is there an alternative?

You can get a 1 inch binder from OfficeMax that will work.

you think a 1 inch will fit all the bro plates? or should I get a 2 inch and a 1inch as well?

Even though it looks unprofessional as crap, it's ludicrous for me to spend 4 hours of pay on a binder. Hopefully the CAs I fly with will understand. if not well... oh well..

Just look from some cheap ones on ebay.

I had a 1" for all the plates I was actually going to use (stuff in our system), and the 2" for everything else. Nobody is going to give a crap what your binders look like, so if you use cheap plastic ones that's fine.

You'll need more than one. Put the places you go to regularly in the smaller one and the rest in the bigger one.
