Inyokern is like something out of a Hollywood movie about a crazy town out in the middle of nowhere. Heck even the van ride with the driver was a treat on our way to a spider infested hotel with more floral patterns than 1890s country home.

Oh I know, Amflight went through there on the way up to Mammoth Lakes when I was working there. Everything from Lancaster to, well, Mammoth Lakes, was like something out of a Mad Max movie.

There was a F/A that bid for inyokern for some reason. There was a rumor that she was a Wicca and would do stuff out in the desert at night.
 
IYK was always a lot of fun... Head over to Stater bros, get some steaks and beers, grill and hang out at the pool. I never understood the bad reputation... There are plenty worse places to be stuck at for an overnight than IYK.
 
the overnights in the west system are a billion times better than the ones in the slc system. The cities that the bro serves out of slc are horrible.

I just prefer to avoid the central valley of California. There isn't a nice place from Bakersfield all the way up to Modesto. People say Fresno isn't as bad as Bakersfield which is true, but it's still a horrible place.

I never understood why they never made sfo a bro base and were commited to keeping everyone in fat even when half the 4 days had deadheads to sfo on both ends. They were great for commuting and soft time pay.
