As for my life, sadly my life is quite grand...I come here to talk with friends, people I've gone to have dinner/drinks with and talk with regularly with outside of JC. Other than the occasional cat fight about flaps in the flare, cancelling IFR at the gate, etc...it's pretty vanilla around here.

Not a knock on you because outside of JC we are cool, but I don't care what the 15-20 members of the JC clique thinks. JC has been publicly stereotyped as a cliquish liberal nerdfest with overweight posters who try to outdo each other with witty comments(SurferLucas). Do you guys care what they think?

I tell people that besides the JC clique who all post like 14 year olds, it's a good site from which I've made several close friends.

That's what I'm thinking. Order isn't firm yet. Should be "finalized" in the next "couple weeks" while SKW is still in talks with Bombardier:D

We have orders for 50 firm and 50 options. We were supposed to take first delivery in 2013 but it's been pushed to 2015 now due to production delays. The thing hasn't even flown yet, so I assume it'll be delayed even more. No code share announced for ours yet. No one knows where they're going...

I don't see why we can't be cool on here too. Just because we have different points of view on things doesn't mean anything. And honestly, we aren't that far off.

I would LOVE to work for a place where I could proudly say "I work for _____! They are a great company with a great product and they take care of their employees." Honestly that is why I'm so frustrated with this place. They think a thanks for all you do in every email is enough to make us overlook that in their eyes we are a liability instead of an asset. Cost is obviously important, we can't overlook that. But they seemed not to notice that all the airlines who tried to be the cheapest instead of the best...well, look at them now.

It's not your point if view that makes people scratch their head. It's the "I have the inside scoop and know better than you!" attitude. And it's not just the "JC insiders that notice. There are a lot of people who read this website. I honestly can't remember the details, as it was a whole ago. But when talking about JC and Expressjet with a jumpseater or coworker (can't remember) you were brought up in a "what is with this guy?" manner.

As for JC, inner ring or not, this place has changed my life. Not even professionally. So far I have had one connection help get me a job (flight instructing) and I actually knew him from another website first. But best of all it has given me a lot of friends that I really enjoy running into at random throughout my travels. Whenever I happen across a JCer at work, it is always the highlight of my day. We have an extraordinary group of people here.

Aaand I've begun to ramble.
 
I do have to admit that during my last trip, one of the pilots from another crew asked me "Hey man, what's up with..."

I gave my standard, "I'm not sure what you're talking about but you're more than welcome to register and inquire directly! :)"

Not gonna lie, I'm glad that, collectively, we provide hours of entertainment for other crew members.

Funny. I keep hearing that "i know better than you attitude". Yet the same scenario always plays out. I state an opinion or sometimes say nothing at all, then somebody flames with a personal attack. And then it goes on for 5 pages with a mix of flaming/opinions. Look how this thread got fired up!

Anybody that doesn't flow with the JC crowd's ideals and opens up against it gets flamed, then guys fire back with a sob story about having a know it all/elitist attitude. I'm not buying it. Don't start no stuff there won't be no stuff
