SkyWest Inc. orders 100 MRJs

If people are excited about an order, for a regional, five years down the road... Professional Aviation: You're doing it wrong.

Couldn't be closer to the truth.

I blame the giddy fools who graduated from kool-aid sippin' college aviation programs who have yet to be awaken by the realities of this industry.

I also feel bad for the First Officers who are all giddy about this annoucement...as if they are eagerly awaiting their opportunity to pilot one of these machines...four plus years down the road.

I sure as hell hope not to be stuck at any SkyWest Inc. operation when these airplanes start flying - anywhere.

No kidding. People are asking what mainline carrier they will fly for. That's like asking who going to win the Super Bowl 5 years from now:D

I heard a rumor today that SkyWest made a nice little payment to US Airways to buy them a seat at the BK court for AA. US Airways has no money to buy a seat at the AA table. Where did they get this money from? Follow the dots. I also heard a rumor that growth coming in PHX for OO. We will see. We will see.

I somehow doubt that Airways had trouble coming up with 600,000. I wonder if that KoolAid ya'll are drinking tastes salty.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we'll never see a single MRJ at either Inc. carrier. Just my two pennies.

Oh, and One List beeches.

Considering that Airways has over 3 billion dollars in unrestricted cash I highly doubt they had a tough time coming up with the cash.

This is so awesome. I cannot wait to fly a jet with the engines under the wings instead of on the tail. I'll feel like a grown up pilot flying heavy metal!

Do you think $3 Billion is a lot of money for an airline? Considering they were desperate for $60 M in the Delta slot swap, I'd say theyre pretty hard up on any cash.

If I'm still at ASA/XJT/SKYW Inc in five years somebody please Nancy Kerrigan my butt......please.

Deal..

Guys in the office..at least us young folks..entered into a blood brother pack that if any of us end up having to fly the ridiculous thing, we all agree to subject each other to physical violence so that we can take an extended medical LOA.

JC has been publicly stereotyped as a cliquish liberal nerdfest with overweight posters who try to outdo each other with witty comments(SurferLucas). Do you guys care what they think?

By angry conservative old men with no wit who just want to find company for their misery? I think we all lose sleep over that one.

Seeing as these come in 2017, and Skywest is fighting tooth and nail to keep the -200s on the Delta side until 2020, I wonder how this is all going to work out.
