SHOULD I WITH ENVOY AIR DISPATCH?

Hi all,

I see Envoy has posted for dispatch hirings. I have applied in the past and have been fortunate to get 2 interviews with them, but not in the hiring pool. Question is, should I try a third time in hopes of continuing to pursue a kickstart to my career with them or is this just a pipe dream and should look elsewhere? Seems like the go-to for fresh out of dispatch school folks to get your foot in the door, at least.

Short answer - yes!

No so short answer - apply at every regional and go where you get an offer (if you can move). I made my way from zero-to-major in just under 2 years. Make the sacrifice - take the risk - you’ll be happy you did.

This is my advice as well. Unless you already live in the DFW area, you shouldn't even consider aircraft dispatching if you can't/won't move for the job. So apply anywhere that is open, and go where you get an offer.

I appreciate the input from everyone. I applied so fingers are crossed that "third time's a charm" pulls through, here. Any other advice when it comes to the interview? I feel mine have been solid but that has proven to the contrary. TIA

Have you gotten any feedback? Have you spoken with anyone at Envoy? What have you changed in your interview flow between now and then?

Just had my interview yesterday. The test was a little longer, and a little tougher, but the in-person was a bit different as it was a panel with a group of three candidates (myself included). Before it was just myself with two interviewers. I feel really good about it this time and felt a certain sense of accomplishment after thanking them for the opportunity. We were told we'd hear something by next week so I'll keep everyone posted; offer or no offer.

What were the questions like ?

They asked each of us maybe 2/3 questions pertaining to approach plates mostly. It went very quick, no HR questions, no tell me about yourself, they kept it simple. They did ask a question or two about your resume if they saw something interesting like previous dispatch experience but that was about it.
