No, solely because the mayors of Springfield and Jackson won't complain about having a lack of collusion in their 75 pax-a-day markets all while demanding hourly 747 service to JFK, DC, ORD, SFO & LAX

I've heard this one floating around for a long time now. The thing is, the minute you make Hawaiian not "Hawaiian" you lose almost every advantage that Hawaiian has. That said, using the "career expectations" model, a whole lot of junior Delta fos would get hosed.

Delta would buy HAI for slots and airframes, the "Hawaiianess" factor doesn't enter at all. As for career expectations, the junior Deltoids can now expect to fly a 747/777. Hawaiianoids can expect to fly a A330. The A350/787 is a wash.
