I love when I randomly check threads and my name pops up.

I work for an airline? Or am I a CFI? Or do I do pipeline patrol?

Can someone please clear up what I'm doing with my life for me please!

It was a subtle compliment actually Chris. You're the man of mystery around here, and it's because of your choice.

I commend you on such behavior, and I'm thinking that such behavior may be the better thing to do so that people who don't agree with your (general) journey through the professional pilot step ladder can't feed off of your decisions.

As I said, it was a subtle compliment. Stay incognito. :)

"maybe it'd be best if many of us just never told anyone here on JC that we are actually employed at an airline"

Well....what fun would that be?

Doug might as well shut the place down if nobody talks about being employed at an airline.

Well Don, I think you're still not following why I'm saying that.

It just seems that a certain group of JC members love to give guys a hard time for not doing it "Their" way. That's my point. Chris has done a great job at keeping his current professional status (whatever it is. . .) out of any discussion. I commend him for such a decision.

Obviously JC is about flying, and flying professionally. I'm certainly not telling people to shut the hell up, I'm just pointing out that some who keep their mouths shut about what they do / who they work for never have to deal with the individuals on this site who complain about "Not doing it my way. . . get out of my way."

Sure, you are working for a regional airline that flies EMB 135 and 145's.

What's the big deal.

Yeah, well you guys got the Oaken Bucket the other day. Rub it in, why don't ya. :)

Close game towards the end though. :panic:

Holy crap, I forgot to check back and see who won!! I can't believe IU actually got the bucket, I mean our football has sucked for sooo long. We might even have a shot at...dare I say it...a bowl game!!! :)

(not much of an American Football fan anyway, I tend to dig the other style of football...still gotta support the alma mater though :) )

In life there will always be people who disagree with something. JC is a great place, but once you learn that not everybody is going to either like you, get along with you or agree with your thinking process, life gets alot better.

So, if when you or anyone else gets hired at XYZ airlines and you want to keep your info to yourself fine. But to do it because someone might not agree that you should have done this or done that, or gone to this flight school or this airline.

Geez, is JC highschool again. Is XJT the cool popular crowd, Skywest the computer/library dorks because they don't have a union, and Mesa the emo rebel trouble makers?

C'mon people...as Chris_Ford would say, lighten up francis, it's the internet!

In closing, Chris Ford just likes his named mentioned, he doesn't list his employer, because he knows it makes him all that more of a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Which makes you want to find out more about him which satisfies his unquenchable thirst for attention!

You're a role model for all of us Lloyd.

We all wish we could follow in your exact footsteps to the right seat of a jet. :sarcasm:

It's not too late . . . you still can!

;)

My footsteps weren't always on the pavement, though. So, take your own path . . . we all end up dead in the end!

That way we (they) don't open themselves up to criticism because they didn't do the whole "Marine - flight training - CFI - Flight express - ERJ pilot" route.

I'm not criticizing you, Surreal . . . so, you can wipe your tears away.

Not everybody has what it takes to wear the eagle, globe and anchor. That's a blessing I'm thankful for. ;)

Anybody can buy some ratings.

CFI'ing isn't cool anymore . . . no big deal.

I flew a single at FLX . . . wasted time.

I enjoy the ERJ . . . guess you can fault me for that one!

:D

I haven't been on this site long, but long enough to know that it's because you talk <edit>. Correcting people's grammar, spelling, stupid comments. You're just a XJT FO...not a 777 Captain.
just to clarify, since you haven't been here long enough to really get to know the site.... we ALL correct people's grammar and spelling. we find it very important to not only speak well but to write correctly too. :)

might want to keep researching how the site works before you go speaking like you already "know it all".
