At least TSA verified our security clearances... for some reason the VRA guys still have to complete the E-QUIP.

Call me silly, but since PUBNAT2 had September panels, and considering September was the end of the last quarter, that would make the next quarter October through December. Which means the next set of panels would meet at some point in that time frame according to the "We have a selection panel that convenes once a quarter to make their selections..." part of these emails people are posting, making a November/December panel the perfect fit for PUBNAT3. Just a little something to ponder while we wait....
thanks for the info thats good news I was under the impression that classes were only every three months.Actually, even though the course is long, a new one starts 2 or 3 times monthly. Everyone from PUBNAT3 does not attend the same course.
Make sure that's where you really want to go. Miami and Oakland centers are the two that you'll consistently hear are the worst ones to work at. Training backlogs and stuff like that. Have you contacted any NATCA reps from Miami or other centers to talk with them?
I've spoken with a dozen NATCA center representatives for different facilities and I have asked: what one center do you recommend I do not work at? The answer has been Miami every time but one (when they said Oakland). Often they would answer Miami and Oakland.
From the info you said about the miami center :yeahthat: would you think that it is easier to get into than other centers?
I'm under the impression that it's not, because of the training backlog. But that could be wrong. Probably the best info you could get is from your family/friends that work there![]()
"The number of people in the hiring pool varies during the year
as the agency recruits applicants, evaluates them, and draws from the pool. However,
the overall goal is to maintain a pool of between 3,000 and 5,000 candidates available
for consideration by selection panels at any one time. During FY 2007, the agency’s
recruitment and advertising activities enabled the FAA to successfully maintain this pool
in the target range."
Explains why the process takes forever... But a bummer just the same.
Do you mean another PUBNAT?
