PUBNAT 5- Announcement ending 7/31

That doesn't seem right at all.

I thought the ATL dates looked too late, but we had more than one person agree that those are the dates, so it looks just fine to me.

Also note that the PUBNAT4 thread doesn't have all the cities accounted for, so there could be dates between 9/26 and 10/6 that are in other cities.

Hey what happened to the pubnat7 thread?
Maybe I missed the info but anyone know why it's late?

It got moved to the Lavatory because "someone" had the brilliant idea of creating a PUBNAT7 thread BEFORE the announcement was even posted...:banghead:

The thread was on an express elevator to hell ever since... :panic:

I think the pub5 and 6 threads were started a few days early too.. but 7 seems to be taking much longer than the rest.. hmm..

***Hey guys if you have a AK/HI application in start saving for the trip now.. OKC said those two aps are going through around or at the same time as 5***

Raydon what do u mean...not being a smartass just are they going to be put throught before Pubnat 4?

They're supposed to go through at the same time as PUBNAT5... so theoretically, that's after PUBNAT4, but you know the FAA :panic:

When I wrote that I meant that the AT-SAT auth's will be going through around the same time. Not anything super awesome like GeoPrefs or PEP invites... or.. you know.. getting HIRED

I feel badly that I might've misled you all when I mentioned that the FAA'd be opening announcements through September. I suppose when they meant "through", they didn't include September.

I should've been more cognizant of that.

Well whoever said that needs to learn the difference between "through" and "until".

It's okay, I've been blaming you for pretty much all of this wait anyway. If it weren't for you, not only would I have submitted my geographic preferences right now, but I'd be sitting in a personalized massaging recliner in my tower, sipping on a pina colada while telling flight 732 that yes, they are clear to land, and did they remember to bring me lunch? See, it's all your fault.

Did I say pina colada? I meant coladas. One for each hand.

Hahaha.

Greetings to you all. Unfortunately, I just discovered this forum/website yesterday, myself being an applicant to PUBNAT5&6. I'm not so disheartened as much to see many others like myself who wonder, WHEN? WHEN?

From a lot of reading that I've seen and from calling the FAA folk, it's going to be a while. I read from someone else, that it is "hurry up and wait". Well put. I talked to the FAA yesterday and it sounds for PUBNAT5 it could be 3-6 weeks more before they notify us for the AT-SAT. Well, for you folks who have never worked for the Federal Gov't, welcome. Nothing is fast, trust me. The military is equally slow in terms of bureaucracy:banghead:.

thanks for the update on 'nat5! I was hoping it may be sooner than that but.. well... i'm not surprised.

No problem Raydon. That's what they told me, not thrilled about it either as well as is the more waiting that happens afterward and it's pretty apparent wherever we read. I'm just glad if I am lucky enough to be chosen and pass the AT-SAT, that I don't have to travel since I already live in the city where they train.

All PUBNAT 5 applicants, ASAP has generated a list for those taking the AT-SAT. Unfortunately for me, I was not chosen. Hope the rest of you were.

I saw that on the ASAP website after I logged in. It showed I wasn't selected. It didn't show that on the homepage for you?

I checked right after I sent that.. and saw my auth for hawaii.. but nothing regarding AK or Pubnat 5
