PUBNAT 5- Announcement ending 7/31

My question is, maybe those of you who have applied for more of the earlier openings would know, do they authorize you to take the ATSAT for every application? My husband can retake the test because he took it over a year ago, but I am trying to see if they will send him the ATSAT info again. They authorized him to take it for the FEBOT application when he had a valid score, but I think it may have been because his previous application was under the CTI umbrella. Am I making sense? Well, anyway, I don't see anything different on the ASAP screen. :confused:

Congrats on Hawaii. I applied to that as well but decided to decline in August. Well I hope the FAA can get back to me on PUBNAT 5 but I guess I might to wait for PUBNAT 6.

thanks! And don't stress.. I got denied the first application I sent in.. i was so pissed. (I flamed the forums for like 2 days)

grab a pina colada and join the luau as we all chug through this process.

LOl No Problem, I'll live. Disappointed sure, not going to stress over it though. I've gone through more difficult challenges in the USAF. :D
 
I applied for PUBNAT 5 as well, how do I know if I haven't been chosen for this announcement, when I login to asap it doesn't say anything at all. I called the FAA earlier this morning and the lady who I spoke to said they would be authorizing very soon. Any help is appreciated!
 
On the home page there will be an entry stating whether or not you've been authorized to take the AT-SAT. Don't expect an authorization by the end of the week as PUBNAT4 was just recently authorized...
 
The reason I even asked this, is because I read through this thread and I see that one person was authorized and the other hadn't been selected. I was curious as to why mine said absolutely nothing on the home page. Thank you for answering my question. So either way, selected or not, I will be notified?
 
My husband just called the Aviation Careers Division and was told they are leaning toward us hearing about being authorized in November. :drool:

One person was authorized for PUBHI, not PUBNAT5 yet. I think we only have the one person who wasn't authorized and no one else sees anything yet, which is odd IMO.

As far as I know, you would only be called by them if you were authorized to take it. I was notified, but not authorized, so I'm not expecting a call. I would also maybe call the FAA Careers Division @ (405)954-4657 if you have any questions. As Raydon said, join the luau. I'm going to go grab a smoke while I grab a drink.:bandit:

Yes you will have a difinitive response on your asap homepage.. this is what mine looks like.

of course.. I photoshopped the "you have failed" graphic in there.. but in its place is where the authorization notifications will be..

if you go into the PUBHI thread, I posted a picture of what the authorization actually looks like..
 
So far no announcement has been authorized before the previous announcement was done the AT-SAT. Since PUBNAT4 has people taking it well into October (based on posts in these forums) it would make sense that you wouldn't hear until the end of October or early November.

Maybe the person who thought they were authorized for PUBNAT5 today was actually being authorized for PUBHI.

I think that might be so. I had been thinking about it and Raydon and myself were the only ones who saw anything in regards to the AT-SAT. He got selected for Hawaii, I declined the Hawaii position a few weeks after I applied. I would take an educated guess and say the list was for Hawaii and not for 5. Based on the dialogue over the past day, it makes sense.
 
I was just authorized for Alaska, however, conflict of scheduling means i might have to pick either Alaska or my set business trip...depending on the test date. I was thinking about waiting for PUBNAT 5, but I don't want to lose this chance for the AT-SAT.

I applied for PUBNAT2 and didn't get selected. The next one I applied for was PUBNAT5. To be honest, I haven't been following the timeline for this one too closely. For those of you that have, when are expecting to test, get your geo prefs, referral lists etc?

PUBNAT4 finishes testing on Friday, so PUBNAT5 should be getting their authorizations in the next few weeks (based on previous announcements)
 
PUBNAT 5 list has been generated. I would recommend going to the ASAP webpage to see if you were selected for testing.
