Pubnat 5/6

I need to lament some more. On August 24 I got an email from FAA Southern Region Medical that my blood pressure was high on the day of the PEPC (8/4), and that I would have to have my doctor fill out a form which needed to be returned by September 24. I made the appointment and had the form sent off on 9/7.

I got no reply from the addressee, so for the next two weeks on my lunch break almost every day, I called her only to get a voice mail and no call back. Finally, on 9/21 I email her the form again and receive an immediate reply saying the message has been received and when.

But, the story isn't over. Yesterday (9/29) I wake up to find another email in my inbox saying that the paperwork had not yet been received. I send the paperwork off again, and immediately call the woman. This time her voice mailbox is full, so my call is directed to a receptionist. I explain everything that had happened to the receptionist, and she takes my message and said the person I was trying to reach just stepped out for lunch. An hour and a half later, I still haven't heard back, so I take my paperwork to the grocery store and spend $5 to fax it to her.

About 5 minutes later she calls to say she received the paperwork by email. I resist the urge to chew her ass out over the phone, so that she doesn't lose my paperwork again. My question is: has anyone else had these kind of issues with southern region medical? I am debating starting a new thread on this topic. The woman I was supposed to be in contact with has the initials H.W.

I feel your pain. I had to fax something off 3 times before it was "received."

In the words of Dory from Finding Nemo, "Just keep sending, just keep sending."

I know your pain trying to call her, I ended up calling other phone numbers close to her extension and finally got a hold of someone to help me out... I hope I didn't step on toes

Yeah I dealt with Hope myself. She never said that she lost or needed anything but I cant get a reply to save my life. After reading all the screw ups here and SM i faxed my paper work again. I may fax it again Friday morning too!! lol

I also went to ATL and had to send in some test results. First I faxed them twice, waited and nothing...called 4 days later and she said that she recieved nothing. So then I faxed and emailed her the results asking to let me know that she recieved it. She never got back in touch with me. So then a few days later I called and left a message and that now has been a month and a half. I understand that they have a lot to do, but this is not exceptable, even for Gov't work.

Aw man, I may fax them over something again! That's ridiculous!! It's always screwing over other people though. I can almost promise you there were no screw ups like this while attending Med School. I betcha she proofread everything 3-4 times and didn't turn it in until it was perfect! Since it's my career and life on the line "Who Cares". If gets lost he can fax it over multiple times and wait it out! I guess I should keep my comments to myself or quit reading too much into this.

I am fairly certain she is not a doctor. Her signature at the end of her email says "Medical Program Analyst."

I have heard it from her own mouth now that she received my paperwork. However, I will not be satisfied until I am medically cleared. The way this woman operates, who knows what could happen. If she loses my paperwork again I am going to contact her superiors. I will be happy to lend my name and situation to anyone who wants to do that before me. Send me a PM.

I had a very similar experience with H.W. -- I faxed everything Sept. 2, and just two days ago got an e-mail asking me to send the info in because they haven't received it.

I sent it back in via fax and e-mail and am now getting responses very quickly from her. I think part of the reason might be because I'm using outlook and requesting read receipts on all of my correspondence.

When ya'll send e-mails, try putting RE: in the subject line.

Well, just remember, if there is an HR rep convention in your area, and you happen to know their flight number. Try to work arrivals that day and spin the flight for about 30 minutes.....that should do the trick. HEHE, of course we would never make them late right?

Yeah, they like those last minute offers, for some reason. I got my call on August 12th for a class that started on the 18th....
