that's what I heard - but I saw somewhere a few enroute folks have received calls for nov/dec class - I don't know what to think/believe anymore - at least I can do the holidays with the fam

Supposedly anyone who has gotten a class for that time frame recently is replacing someone else, who couldn't make it for whatever reason.
 
Swinte- I know. It's just a lot to think about. Waiting for nearly 2 years (our story) and then moving out to OKC with 3 little kids just to not make it and have no back up plan...makes me nervous. I havent told my husband about it, since he's the one who is actually going to be going through the classes, but it scares the living poop outta me! haha but seriously, im glad you kept your per diem in the bank...it's definitely good advice for everyone!

ouflyboy- these are my thoughts: they have class dates and they are full but then some guy calls up and says, i cant go on that date. so the HR rep is like, ok, who can i get to fill that spot? and the first person to pop in their head gets the early class date. moral of the story...screw everyone who says "dont bother the HR rep, you are slowing down the process" and keep your name and situation fresh in their mind, so if another spot opens up, your annoying phone calls are the first thing they think of and they cant wait to get rid of your pestering. I used to be the sit-back-and-wait kinda girl, but that has gotten us nowhere...we havent even talked to our real HR rep yet cause it keeps changing and shes always on vacation! do me one favor though...if S.F. is your HR rep, ignore everything I just said! :laff:

mbalunda- im not saying you pestered them...you just got lucky! and good for you!

I wasn't implying that. I've seen on both messageboards that no 'new' class dates were being given. Basically everything is full for awhile, so any recent placements are probably due to someone else pulling out. Like I told you though, I'd never even talked to an HR rep before they called me so I doubt I was fresh on her mind. Maybe replacements go by alphabetical order? I'd be close to the top of that list.

No no I didn't mean to call you out, I just didn't want you to think that's what I meant. My opinions are simply based on my frustration. If it is alphabetical...we're screwed. :(

SF is my HR rep :laff: - I haven't spoke with her but she's been prompt w/emails

Someone from SM got a call today for the Nov. 5th class as well. ZHU bound. Not sure what her last name is though, so I can't confirm or deny alphabetical order
 
im going to zhu as well and my last name is starts with "ba" i dont think there are to many people infront of me if the alphabetical theroy is in.
 
Eek! Tomorrow's the day! I'm supposed to call my rep back and ask for a class date! I'm nervous! I'll post when I find out, bc I know you all care:insane:

.........well??? :drool: we called again today since S.F. was supposed to be back in the office, but she decided to extend the vacay, I guess. Try again tomorrow...

Damn, I was just getting ready to call her to see if she was going to send me my FOL today. Guess there is no reason to call now.

I think everyone needs a full week off to celebrate Colombus day!

Geeesh. My husband can go work at ZAU, Im gonna work at OKC! Mon-Fri 8-5, multiple week long vacations a year, and when annoying people call to pester me about class dates...VOICE MAIL!! Dream job. Hahaha. I kid, I kid!
