There will be no new updates on ASAP. Unless you don't get selected, and that won't happen for a couple of weeks. Eventually you'll get a message that says "Another candidate was selected for XXX postion..."
That makes two of us. Here is to an early Academy date! I hear enroute people are making it there earlier than most because many of the centers are short handed. Here's to hoping.I just got the email for ZAU!
Emails will go out over the next week or so...they don't all happen in one day.
I heard one rumor that the first batch of emails going out this week would be for FY'09 candidates. And that there would be another batch of emails next week covering FY'10 people. No idea if that is accurate or not...but there will be more days of emails to come, I'm almost certain.
Previous PUBNATs took about a week before all emails were out. It's gotta be nerve racking to not get one on that first day though...

I also have PA as my first choice. I have seen people get emails for NY (my second choice) and FL (your second choice), but no one for PA yet.

Would have preferred ZFW (My dad lives outside of Ft. Worth), but this is definitely a step in the right direction geographically.

Congrats to all you peeps who received your emails! I hope the rest of you get yours soon. Looks like I'm headed to Houston ARTCC. Looking forward to thousands of trips to the Johnson Space Center, 100% humidity, hurricanes, and Astros baseball. Gonna miss Dallas though.
P.S. Does anyone know if centers who control oceanic airspace still use procedural control for aircraft that are out of reach of radar control (positive control) or are now using GPS?

Those credentials have nothing to do with getting a job. It's going to come down to your geo prefs and meeting the needs of the FAA.
Meeting the work/education requirements and having a well qualified score has nothing to do with getting a job?? Interesting... tell me more.

As long as you meet the requirement I am sure they don't look at specifics. At the panels there is probably a column on the list that says "Meets Work Requirements" and has a check in the box or something.
