He read my mind. I was just about to post this, pretty much verbatim. I picked Monday the 22nd for my preferred date. Anyone hear back yet?
 
Just got my corrected e-mail.

"Congratulations! You have been chosen for further consideration for a Terminal Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position in the state of (Alaska).
This notification supersedes any previous email you have received dated 05-19-2009."

Don't know how happy I am about going to Alaska, though. I'll probably take it, though. I'm just hoping it's not Fairbanks, although that's what I'm planning on.......

I've not heard back. Figure it will be a few days. They are probably pretty busy getting everything sent out. I chose the 22nd or 23rd since those were the days for enroute. I live close enough to Chicago that I'll drive up there in the morning, so I don't need to make any real travel arrangements. It really doesn't matter to me what day I go, as long as I can attend the Chicago PEPC instead of having to travel elsewhere.

You're the second person I've seen who got Alaska...and didn't even have it as a Geo Pref. Apparently they didn't select enough folks during the Alaska Pubnat!
 
I just got picked up for Seattle ARTCC! I turned down FAI the day before the April PEPC and I'm so glad I did because I got exactly what I wanted.

Congrats Cirrus! That is what I am hoping for as well. What time did you get your email? I have a buddy that is training at the facility now, and he said that they were going to be picking up a handful this time...here's to hoping that I join you!
 
Congrats everyone who received their invites today. I'm still hoping for one, I haven't really seen anyone from my part of the country receiving anything, so maybe that's a good sign. Who knows though. Good luck everyone who hasn't received one, I'll be hanging on with ya!

Would have preferred ZFW (My dad lives outside of Ft. Worth), but this is definitely a step in the right direction geographically.

Ok so it seams like there sending anyone anywhere this time around. I first applied to pub nat 2 and have been applying ever since. Geo prefs for 5 and 6 where terminal only CT, MA and NY, NJ. Just got a pecp invite for Anchorage Center......this sucks......

What really sucks is on the last panel people were more than willing to go to the anchorage center but they didn't hire them.
 
well if it sucks so much call you HR rep and tell them you dont want anchorage and you know a guy that does. see if you can give it to me cuz ill go anywhere

Damn, I just got the Terminal position in Alaska e-mail. If some of you Anchorage people don't want to go there, tell them there's someone you know who wouldn't mind going there. :)

I wouldn't mind the Anchorage TRACON or Tower, but I really don't want Fairbanks. I'll go there if that's what gets offered, but I still won't like it.
 
So unless Im reading in to something, the only pepc for this announcement so far is in june?

That means in theory 50 people per day gives 250 people total from pubnat 5-6.

Either they drastically decreased the amount of new hires or they will be sending out groups of pepc invites.

Just a theory but in the past they have always had 3 options spaced out over 3 months. totaling 750 total if all people attend and the pepc is filled.

Yeah I was one of those people that applied to pubnat ak.......this still kinda sucks....I don't know what I'm going to do.
 
I just got picked up for Alabama and asked for Arizona and Alaska. I wonder if there is a way to switch with anyone. Anyone know? How do we know what facility we are getting picked for?

I heard there was going to be another PEPC in Miami as well as Los Angeles. July and August respectively.
