Pubnat 5/6

The June PEPCers were told to call on July 15 or after for medical clearance but when the time came to call we were told to call back in 30 days. So we still have once more time to wait. Nothing new there :rawk:

Not that this pertains to the forum, but I just found out that kid #2 is on its way. Hopefully I get the redirect to ZFW or DFW TRACON, it will make things a ton easier. Here's to hoping.

Congrats!! Here's too many new joy for your family and your new addition

it's been about a month or so since I've been on here, I've been crazy busy. I got my TOL a couple weeks ago(right before I went on a business trip to Dallas of course). I went to dallas, and now that I'm back I just started going through the rest of the process. I finished my security(which it turns out I didn't have to do because I'm already an FAA employee, so SCORE on that one). I completed my medical yesterday, and I was deemed color deficient. I FAILED the stupid colorblind test. I was feeling pretty crappy at this point, but the doctor said they can schedule another test, but I'll have to take it in Salt Lake City.....that's pretty far away so I was kinda pissed that I'd have to fly down to Utah to take a test I'm not even sure i'd pass. So I'm at work today, and I get a call from the regional office, it's ANM medical. She starts talking to me about how I failed the test and the retake is usually in Salt Lake City BUT.....the people are up here from Salt Lake doing a presentation for the nurses about the colorblind test. She then asked if I wanted to take it TODAY. So I took the test, and I passed it pretty easily. I'm soooo stoked right now it actually looks like this could really happen . drug test is today, then I can schedule my MMPI and then more waiting, but I dont care!!!

Why not? 2 pubnats combined mean more people are posting, plus 2 PEPCs, plus a lot of traditional routers= lots of posts

I know that my current and former employers have received the scantron, as well as references for unemployment time periods and all that jazz. The three people I put down that "Knew/know me well" have also been contacted.

What I was wondering is if anyone has had family members contacted? Also, based on prior PUBNATers, do they even go that route? I can't imagine one of my family members giving me a poor referral.

Just crossing my fingers for first quarter of the new fiscal year, but not holding my breath.

None of my family has received a form, although all of my personal references, as well as employment references have. My guess is that they don't contact family unless there are other issues in your background that would require a family member's input.

I don't think they generally contact your family. Pretty sure they know most family members would lie anyways, so they just avoid them.

They'll send letters to ever other reference you put down though.

For those of you that have C.S. as your rep, have any of you had a hard time getting in touch with her?

Congrats on the new arrival! We've got #3 coming in about 3 weeks. It puts the wait of this job in a whole new perspective when you think, "ok, I got pregnant when people were taking the AT-SAT, 3-4 months at geo prefs, 6 months at the PEPC, and *hopefully* medically cleared when the baby comes!" nutty process.

Good luck

Just got a geo prefs email from PUBNAT7. I'm going to disregard it. Swinte... is this what you recommend? I think we determined if a person already has a TOL that they need not engage with other announcements.

Got one as well. Once you have your TOL your basically just waiting in line for a class date (of course once all your clearances are in) So no need to make our employeer do more work by filtering us out. :)

Whats goin on people. I just signed up for jetcareer so this is my first post. I have read this forum though and I have got great advice from reding your post.

I was hoping some of you could help with a few questions i have. I signed up for PUBNAT 5 and it seems alot of you got your TOLs alot sooner than I did. I recieved mine 7/22.

Anyway my question is about the tol FORMS.
1. The Declaration of Federal Employment i have already faxed to someone a while back. Should i send another one in with my TOL forms?
2.The DOT form 1631. At the bottom is askes for the current organization assigned, what should i put in that blank.
3. The FAS Fact Sheet. At the bottom it says, "I acknowledga and understand that acceptance of ____________(position)____________(pay plan, series, grade) is in the Federal Aviation Service excepted service." What should i put in the blanks?

Sorry if i sound like a newbi but like I said I am new. I appreciate any help you guys and gals can give me ad look forward to being apart of this forum.

Welcome to the public side with your first post!

Regarding forms, you will end up signing and submitting the same forms multiple times -- get used to doing that, regardless of how much paper it uses up. I would recommend e-mailing them, if your HR rep mentions it, as you have a better guarantee that they will receive it instead of faxing, which may not transmit properly or may get picked up by another employee.

As far as what to fill in the blanks, you might want to ask your HR rep just to be safe. Things may change from announcement to announcement, and it is best to get it straight from the horse's mouth.

Thanks for your help. I would love to talk to my HR but it seems he is more accustom to just listening to his messages and not calling back. Tied contacting by phone and e-mail for the past 3 days. I will keep trying though.:yourock:

Yep.. No sense in me repeating everything that's already been said.

greg and jerms both know what they're talking about, along with GS. Sorry I couldn't get to this sooner.. Today was full of review for Block Test 2.
