So as a total newbie who never dispatched, PSA would be more detrimental to my career than beneficial? Or are you saying that starting at PSA would basically be a way to get to a better regional?
Keep in mind most of the people who posted in this thread before you have no idea what they are talking about.
If you want to dispatch and need a place to start you're going to be at a regional. Is PSA the best regional? Likely not. Is it the worst? I can't answer that. Is regional life really all that grand at any particular office? PSA is one thing only; a place to get experience and move on.
PSA is a mess. Has been for a long time, likely will be for a long time. It's not a great place to work but you'll get out of it what you put in. You can be the typical 20- something with a fresh license who thinks the world owes you something or you can work for what you want. I can guarantee if you put the work in and improve yourself and your skills you won't have to spend your life jumping from regional to regional.
