a regional is a regional. they all suck. some pay more than others, some have better training than others. PSA is unquestionably at the bottom of both those lists. However, if it gets you in the door somewhere better, then why not give it a go.Oh my, I wont send it in, I will look for other opportunities. I have a bad feeling!
Though I was in at Expressjet and then got the TBNT call, guess there was others who were bettera regional is a regional. they all suck. some pay more than others, some have better training than others. What happened to ExpressJet?

Depends on what is important to you. I would say without a doubt SkyWest would be number one. Then there are quite a few that are in the middle of the pack. Envoy, ExpressJet, Compass. They all have their pros and cons. The single best way to find out if its right for you is to talk to current and former dispatchers. They will tell you the real story. The number one recruiting tool any company can have is its current and former employees, albeit it can work for and against them. You're not going to make any kind of money working at a regional, so whats really important is making sure you get the training, guidance, and mentorship to make sure you are doing things the right/legal way. This will no doubt pay off when its time to interview at a major. I know a lot of people preach any experience is good experience. But if you aren't trained properly and don't have any clue what you are doing, then its really of no help. So, out of curiosity, what would you say are the top three regionals? Top five if it's too difficult to narrow down that low?

Those Bozos don't work there anymore because they were smart and got out. Those that are still there are lifers or are too busy on their knees 'harking' to see reality. Spare everyone the fluff piece. The place sucks and has the lowest pay and a non existent training program. There's no reason to work there. All i have to say, is if you new to the dispatch world PSA isn't all that bad from what all these BOZO's say it is. Yes there are things i don't like about it but, it's always that way when you have a job. It's a place to get your foot in the door gain some experience learning from you peers. since I've been, I've been promoted and i learn more about the airline operations. So, if your new and want to get your foot in the door with an airline and reap all the airline benefits PSA isn't a bad place to start, and this is coming from someone who has previously worked at another regional. if you take anything from this post , Just remember these bozo's who dog on PSA do not work here anymore and their opinion should not matter to you if your are just starting out.
well, if you want to be closed minded and ruin it for the new people fine i cant stop you. I'm not "harking" anyone just saying its not a bad place to start. that all period.
I can't count at least 13 people who have left in under a year. I think it's more than a personality conflict.Don't let them ruin things. Your opinion and experience are valued. There is no one option that works for everyone. It is entirely possible that personalities just didn't mesh.

Which might come sooner than you think if you hang out there too long. That's for true for sure. And ya know what else, AVgirl, they shouldnt be such haters cuzz unlesst you never been there, then you have no idea what you are talking about. And that's for true. yessir.
