by the way ATL guys, i hope you enjoy going to GDL this fall. That right there is enough for me to say so to dual qual.
i was exploring travelnet and i saw that there is a proposed schedules section and right now its proposed for september. Seriously, this is why all 76 seat jets need to be at mainline.
are people really starting that swap 900's rumor again? No argument here. I'd rather retire flying a -900 for mainline than a -900 at Pinnacle. I love how everyone in the crew rooms starts the "They're swapping out -200s for -900s!" rumor and I rip their dream bubble to shreds by mentioning mainline's scope clause. I REALLY hope they don't roll that scope back. If it means it lands me back in the right seat, it'll suck, but maybe I'll actually have somewhere to GO once things start rolling again. They relax scope, and I'll keep my seat here....for a LOOOOONG time.
I haven't looked on the new travel system yet. Holding on to my $50 as long as I can.

Oh yeah. The dual qual thing was like tossing a gas can into that rumor fire.
Also, you know what is frustrating? S.E. posted that they had not heard back from the nmb but no one seems to know any kind of time line of when they are going to get back to us. Is it that top secret?

The NMB is hoping that the delay will make both sides feel some pressure to move off of their positions and reach an agreement. That's their job.
Don't know how much more the pilots can do. We threw about 3 counter proposals the last time, and the company played stubborn two year old.
Oh, I know. But you have to remember that the NMB plays the roll of impartial mediator. They aren't supposed to care which side is right, they're just supposed to put equal pressure on both sides to bring the parties to an agreement. If all else fails, the final pressure is the 30 day cooling off period. It seems evident to me that you're on the way to that final element of pressure, but the NMB is waiting as long as possible, hoping that somebody will budge first without them having to resort to a cooling off period.
released by the end of the month if nothing is hammered out by then? Anyone confirm this one?
