Oh ‘Mericun XXL

…they’re normally this slow? I try to avoid airline hubs whenever possible but when I did DFW a while back I don’t remember nearly as much “we’ll need a minute” “we’re waiting on numbers” or just taxiing at 5 kts.
The lines in CLT moves slowly because the eastern runway is a landing/takeoff runway, a new parallel runway is being built. Honestly its pretty rare to have to wait on numbers these days. If you happen to have been behind someone waiting on numbers, thats probably why they were taxiing slow.

Or, and hear me out, if you won’t be ready at the end get out of the way of those who are. It seems like every other AA plane I’m behind takes longer than a trainer doing a runup on a checkride.

If you’re at your career shop you should be making extra as you wait, and if you’re not you’re building extra flight time.

I never said airline. But still, what’s the rush? If you’re flying corporate you probably just waited in the FBO for an extra hour anyways, been there done that.
Nope, we did a scenic tour of the airport and sat in line with AA for said hour. For a 40 minute leg.

everyone out of my way im taking a very wealthy person on a short flight

too bad they weren't smart enough to fly out of a reliever airport
Huh, funny how “I’ll get in the way of other users of the NAS who are able to operate efficiently because everyone who’s not paid by the hour can wait and build time” isn’t an equally valid argument.

Don't make me like @Cherokee_Cruiser's post when he calls you a corpie.
I’ll own that title if it means that I’m considerate to other pilots and aircraft. Yeah, I know a lot of “corpies” act like they’re the only plane in the sky…but tell me that if a good chunk of corporate jets got in line for departure knowing they wouldn’t be ready to go that there wouldn’t be loads of airline pilots here complaining. Do I use reliever airports whenever I can? Absolutely. But big airline airports that’re also the closest to the city center usually have good FBOs and handle GA well. We can all work together and get along. And yes, it being leg 1 out of 1 for the day and wanting to go play golf did make me extra salty ;)

What exactly is one supposed to do to get out of your way? There's only so much pavement. And if you were waiting for an hour I doubt it was just one airplane holding you up
