Oh JetBlue XII - pins gone wild

Do you have examples of "pro Hamas" people running around in the US (outside a few extreme corner cases)? I've seen a whole lot of pro Palestine supporters, but that's about it.

Wearing the colors of Hamas, Jewish hatred slogans and sayings, those are things and people whom I lump into the pro-Hamas camp.

Others who are able to peacefully protest their viewpoint supporting gaza civilians without the hate-mongering rhetoric, I have no issue with.

I’ve seen a number of examples of both. What was that saying? When someone tells you who they really are, believe them.

The big problem with punching (fill in the blank of stupid far left/far right) group member, is while it might be satisfying, it’s unproductive at the end of the day. In that, for every one of these morons who you punch, there are 100 or 1000 more to replace them. The extremist groups on both sides of the aisle have no shortage of brain dead dumbasses in attendance of whatever gathering they didn’t have to take time off from an actual job, to attend.

If we are going to go vigilante, shouldn’t we go vigilante against the criminals first?

Promoting felonious acts of violence. Well, you’re a piece of •.
He said Nazis. Peace was never an option. Because we're talking about Nazis. Actual living breathing Nazis. Certain groups like them and child molesters fall into a category where I think respect for them and their personal safety isn't a concern to most of us.

Like @MikeD said, it's not productive, however, I don't think wanting to physically harm people who's whole MO is to eliminate (or best case, force the segregation of) people who are a different color or sexual orientation makes you a POS.

If you aren't black and you say the N word to someone who is, you might get your ass kicked. And this is universally acceptable to many. Do Nazis not envoke those same emotions to many people?

For the last paragraph, I don’t accept that. I was always taught growing up that a verbal fight should be left at a verbal response only. And hands involved only when it became a physical fight. A meet-force-with-force kinda thing. Especially with multiple siblings. I could never hit one if all they used were words, and didn’t actually hit me first.

An educated person would walk away from a verbal altercation. But again, that requires good parenting, or even parents, something lacking in many sects of society.

We are a national of laws. If you don’t embrace that concept, you’re as close to being a Nazi or neo-Nazi as anybody wearing a swastika. It’s that simple.

Putting neo-Nazis and child molesters in same category is silly. You are comparing some folks with abhorrent views with the worst criminals in society.

If you’re going to go vigilante, start swinging at criminals like members of the Outlaws, Pagans, Hells Angels, and Mongols. Go ahead, have fun.

How about punch a Confederate? See a Confederate flag being worn, punch a Confederate. Let’s be consistent here.

Beyond that, Nazi-sympathizers wearing swastikas weren’t a threat to American society in the 1930’s when the American Bund was filling Madison Square Garden. They aren’t a threat now.

Punch somebody because you don’t like what they MAY believe based on their jewelry choices? That tells me you are an ignorant • with no respect for the law.

I’m having a very hard time understanding how you could possibly say this with a straight face.

No?

I have never commented on other jobs outside aviation, where I don’t know their specialty? Eg, I have not commented on what or how mental health specialists like him should do in his job.

About pins like BLM? Absolutely. They just don’t say it out loud.

I can read you like a book.

This is the obvious evolution of a term, once used to reference actual evil, being hijacked and used to describe anyone that disagrees with ones personally held beliefs or ideology indiscriminately as a pejorative. It's been so abused it's become diluted and really says more about the person tossing it around than it does about the accused. There are people who think all white people are racist because they're white, can't blame them, it's what they've been taught. I'm not discounting the fact that racism and even Nazis still exist, but just because someone doesn't agree with someone else about abortion, they shouldn't have a hair trigger to accuse that person of the worst possible thing they can think of. But they do, and here we are.

Well sir... this is a message board, not a Wendy's.

The very point of this message board is to comment on other users post.

Having said that I believe admittedly without looking back. That my post was more a question than a statement also with a lot of disbelief mixed into the ingredients.

What you said to Max was “Stay in your lane.” Yet at the same time you have told us repeatedly that you have only have been a pilot, and an engineer out of college.

Maybe take a moment to reflect on that.

This reads like a TDS piece.

I was just about to type the same thing. Pro-Palestinian people does not equal Pro-Hamas. This is reminding of the post 9-11 deal that tried to make people against the US if they protested the invasion on Iraq...and look how that turned out. This narrative trying that to make seeing the atrocities of what'a happening in Gaza and speaking out against to being antisemitic needs to stop.

If you think college kids will quiet down when school is out in the summer, you will be in for a rude awakening. The leadership of our country needs to find the right tone to quell this issue or be in for a ride awakening.

I’m an old DC area punk. The self-righteous “punch-a-Nazi” straight-edgers and SHARP’s were a bigger problem than racist skinheads.

“How do you do, I don’t think that we’ve met…..my name is Ian….”

I still think they are one of the top 5 all time, even if what you say is true about the “movement”. Saw the same thing you describe in my much smaller university hometown during the first revival of punk rock in the mid-1990s.

May I suggest a ground-breaking compromise? If you think there's a possibility, however slim, that your self-expression at work (whatever the expression may be) via Flair may cause other people to be un-thrilled with you, just don't do it. It's easy! It's actually even easier than HAVING the flair. No one wants to hear *or* see your political opinions at work. We have JC for that.
