Oh Delta...why oh why?

Apparently, we take this airplane to LGA. I've not had the privilege yet, although if I ever do, I'll put an amount of "what's it to ya" in my voice upon arrival at the ZNY boundary and won't stop that until we're gone again.

In all seriousness, I'm sure we're no different from The Competition™.

I'll save you some hassle:

Rules for success operating in/out LGA:

1. "Yes, that is a normal day at LGA".
2. Don't think, just… do.
3. Listen up.

Cooperate and Graduate is a requirement everywhere.

And don't pull a "semi-recent LCC entrant into LGA" and assume that since you're "here" and your gate is "right there" that it's kosher to go ahead and just take it into the ramp without coordinating with anyone.

You will not.

I almost got creamed by a scimitar coming around the corner.

Not sure what happened but a few months ago Southjet Ramp had a meltdown at LGA. I knew it would be bad when we turned at the tanks for the Expressway Visual and I saw a bunch of airplanes on the west taxiways. Upon further examination I saw they all had Southjet tails. Rut roh.
Sure enough, after landing we were sent over to the west taxiways to join our "brethren" and sat there while everyone else with a different logo on the tail landed and went straight to parking. It took over an hour to get parked.
Being the calm, laid back group we are the pilots exercised professionalism and decorum on the radios.
Heck, it wasn't the last day of my trip, paid by the hour, didn't have to use the rest room, so who cares. Set the brake and relaxed.

Most dangerous place to be at ANY airport is between a Southwest Airplane and their gate...

Bye, Felicia!
