Not commenting on the actual point under discussion, but it should be made crystal clear that hazing is not limited to just physical events.

The problem for me is the length of time it takes to wait for a gate is directly proportional to how dire my need to urinate is.

I've got no shame. I've done the walk of shame twice in the penalty box in ORD, and once on the ramp waiting for an inoperative tug to be freed from it's airplane.

Years ago, when I instructed at Williams, the contract tower used to add the tag "use caution for samurai in the pattern" to the ATIS when the Air China students came up from Ryan for their cross country trips.

Yes. Several times. I'm used to airports that split their ground and local controllers geographically.. like MSP, ATL, LAX, etc etc etc.. you know.. north, south, metering etc etc etc... Not one for inbounds and one for outbounds. I think this practice will change at ORD once all the east/west parallels are open/operating and everything else is closed (4/22 excepted).
