Oh Delta...why oh why?

Furthermore, FWIW, it is child's play to fly up and down the West Coast in an EMB-120 compared to man's work of flying a Beech 1900 or a Slaab for that matter in the Northeast.

:)
I went from Plattsburgh to Manassas with no autopilot. Piece of cake. :)

Saw a bunch of old Colgan stuff sitting around.

Did you pick up a new bird the other day for the company?
Nope. One of our Boston planes went to Manassas for heavy maintenance, so we took and ANC plane to take its place, then we flew the BOS plane down.

But on the new plane note, we have our first SAAB 2000 on property.

So the old "read it before you do it" adage serves well!

Luckily, at least on the bus, nothing super critical has a switch like that. I can only imagine the havoc that would occur if it was an ancient 737NG with reversed switches.

Very much so! When I was on the Bus, all of the East 319s/320s and all of the 321s had the Boeing-style "forward = on" switches. The West 319s/320s had the "backwards = on" switches. I often remarked to the guys I was flying with, "Whoever thought that turning on a light switch would require this much thought?"

Plus, I got lectured in the jumpseat one day about how the East training was inferior because our switches were backwards to theirs. After being berated for 20 minutes, I simply asked him if he thought Delta and United were inferior. No response.

And this was before he proceeded to tell me that if a PHX crew would have been in the cockpit, 1549 would have never ended up in the Hudson. They would have landed on a runway in LGA or JFK.

Oh lord. Pilots and their damned pissing contests.

"They wore GLASSES!"

Apparently Captain Sullenberger wasn't fawning over them at one of the many lawsuit proceedings, so they want to sully (see what I did there?) his good name. I can't wait to see the fit they pitch when the movie opens.

Old Hendrick Motorsports bird, right? When are they supposed to be ready for PAX service?
