So are you suggesting no one should book on an airline with labor problems? Better hope that doesn't happen in bulk, or you sir could be out of a job.
I have respect for what these men and women do, but it's just like the auto industry - they have a low skill job that just about anyone can do, yet they insist on resisting the pay shift that just about every sector is experiencing. In the end, they'll probably lose their jobs and pensions - but they'll still have an active union card.
As a business traveler, my livelihood is affected by them doing their job. It's not my fault they chose a career that anyone with two working legs and the ability to lift 50lbs can do. Sorry folks, it's supply and demand. Worried about not being paid enough? Go to college.
Yet another reason why I fly SWA as much as possible.![]()

I call BULLSH*T on this.
You've just spent an enitire thread complaining about "uneducated" workers in job that "anyone with two legs and the ability to lift 50lbs" can do and now you have the gall to say A) you actually take time to notice anyone other than yourself and B) admire their work ethic?
BULSH*T.
Keep diggin', it's fun watching you sink deeper and deeper and deeper ...
Because they're non-union, yay!![]()
C'mon Doug - my reasons for flying them have nothing to do with the fact that they are non-union. I fly them because I get a lot of value, because I like the airline, and because the employees are well treated. That's why they earn my money.
If they are happy because they are non-union, that's their thing. Doesn't have anything to do with me.
tag.Rumor has it that they're the most highly unionized carriers in the country. Hence thetag.
"...and everyone's overpaid except for me..."
Let me put my moderator hat on....
Wow, I tried to be civil, but that statement proves that you are a blithering idiot.
Let me put my moderator hat on.
When you don't clearly explain what you're trying to say and my users "get their panties in a wad" over what they thought you said, the problem isn't with their reading comprehension.
The people who don't know the man behind the funny avatar, the name "Murdoughnut" and, in my opinion, a slightly bombastic "Marie Antoinette" view of the plight of the employees involved in the short-lived protest in MSP are going to form their opinion (and reaction!) based upon what you write.
I just call them like I see em. May I use poopy head?Me too.
This kind of personal attack is not acceptable behavior:
Argue the points, don't throw stones.

Because NWA wants their customers to think everything is hunky dory out there and that there is no reason not to fly NWA.This reminds me of the transit workers union strike in NYC that took place for several days around the holiday season. 20 minutes I can understand, but days is counterproductive.
What's bothering me is why deny the work stoppage and then have the media show it on tape to prove it?

Moderator Hat On:
Just to save some time.... I was actually doing you a favor by explaining people's reaction to what you were writing. I'm not going to "review" your posts, but thanks for the offer.
You can either heed the advice or not. I know the value of unsolicited advice and it's not all that much!![]()
Haha, and I think it's fun watching you get your panties in wad over it. Anyone with a third grade reading level or above could tell you that I wasn't "complaining" about uneducated workers. I simply said that that people who are easy to replace shouldn't expect to be paid high salaries. If I had more time I'd try to put together a sock puppet play to explain it to you, but alas, I do not.
