Non-revving in First, and Facebook

Being as aware as you claim to be with FAA ATC, you should know the PUBNATs have been going on for years now and the FAA didn't just suddenly and recently start accepting applicants with no CTI. I agree that with hiring the way it is now, the CTI isn't nearly as advantageous as it once may have been, but get your facts straight before calling it quits.
.

Yeah I know they do, but PUBNATS were very rare for awhile because of how many CTI and Vets they had, so essentially nobody OTS was getting a job. Now they have made it wide open for everyone to apply, and also changed the fact that you can't even use CTI as an advantage since nowhere in applying do they factor that. So my facts are correct :)

Anyway, I haven't called it quits necessarily, I just no reason to major in it anymore since it's worthless. I still play to apply at the next panel and hope I get picked up, either way getting my ADX license to fall back on in case either way will be a good idea, same for having an aviation management degree. I will admit though I am starting to like ADX a little more than ATC now.

...Good thing for him I am likely not doing ATC anymore...

...it really doesn't matter now does it b/c I am probably done with ATC.

Well, Jason... you seem to be a bit conflicted. If you DO choose to pursue ATC, I highly recommend that you cultivate the habit of being a little more decisive. That particular profession and indecision don't mesh too well.

If you want ANYthing from the FAA (be it a job or a license) I also highly recommend that you avoid badmouthing their policies in a public forum until AFTER you've gotten what you want from them. It's far harder for them to undo something they've done than to just not do it in the first place. They read these boards, too.

Whatever you choose, I hope it works out well for you.

Just an old guy's 2¢ worth.
