Min days off at a Legacy/Major

Southwest doesn't pay for employee parking???!!! I suppose that you're going to tell me that there is no easter bunny either??

When I was at pinnacle prior to 117 I could easily get 17-19 days off a month and be over guarantee. The overnights were horrendous though. Min rest every night possible.

I really wouldn't take APC stuff as "The Final Word" because it's not.

I've gone almost a month without touching an airplane with more than ALV (average line value).

You really have to look at the entirety of any contract AND understand what you're looking at to get a good picture.

Of course, what the hell do I know, your mileage may vary.

Besides, I've barely flown 400 hours this year, been enjoying "full" months all year and that's a-ok.

I thought the question was about minimums in CBA's. Otherwise, yeah, most of us can take advantage of seniority, rules and the like. If I don't get called out Mon-Wed this month, I will have worked 5 days all month with full pay and then some. That is the only way I would have had the time to rebuild my home which began in earnest when I bid ACY back in 2008 to be based at home.

And you've done a fantastic job on the kitchen, from what I've seen on Facebook! My wife never has patience for me to actually do a project correctly. I do it anyways, the correct way, and she lives with the wait time.

Full months?

18 days off a month. EIGHTEEN. Good god.

I've got 18 off this month with one single night in a hotel (recurrent training) and 18 off next month with 3 hotel nights.

Things can change and productivity of flying can increase/decrease in a base, but I must say, living in base with this schedule is basically what the norsemen called Valhalla.

Ironically though, it's a wake up call when one reaches this point in a fee-for-departure carrier. Kind of like turkey in the oven, starting to get overcooked.

FYI, the ALPA list is kinda misleading for jetBlue. As has been mentioned, it's 12 days off for 30 day bid periods or 13 days of for 31 day periods. TECHNICALLY, it's "Max 18 days worked," but it's the same thing. Reserves are NOT "FAA regulations." We're the same as lineholders in the min day off column. However, we also get "pre release days," which means if we have a lot of extra reserves, you might get even more days off. Toss in some vacation days or some of the other ways we can get days off, and you're looking at over half the month off on reserve. Then you've also got chances at LCR, too. Best gig I've had in aviation so far has been reserve in base here. I was living in base on reserve at Pinnacle, but I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
