Mental Health

So if it's a publicly traded company who is actually at fault in the UHC debacle?

Of course the real answer is that we all are, for looking the other way as profits trump (no political inflection intended) care for our fellow human beings. That said, it's very difficult for me (and apparently the ENTIRE internet) to find any tears for someone who signed on to be at the tip of the spear for what he must have known (at last on some level) to be at the very least standing idly by as people died in pain and misery in pursuit of shareholder value.

We all know this system is F'd. It doesn't sit right with anyone I know, whatever their politics or investments.

Yours also has PPS (pilot peer support) and CIRP (critical incident response program). I'm guessing you talked to one of those guys, not a Pilot 2 Pilot volunteer.

You are correct I've gotten my acronyms mixed up again. I am reminded why Elon outlawed acronyms at Space X.

Saw a CBS story on this group and am thinking about checking it out. Will report back. I'm always skeptical because these things tend to be a hidden sales pitch for Jesus, but I'll let you know what I uncover...

The FAA needs to change and they need to change NOW. Pilots are dying because of their draconian attitude to mental health and “safety.” Enough is enough.

FAA mental health policy = "Self medicate with alcohol like a real man"
