Malaysian 777 Plane Crashes in Ukraine

"We" have before.

Euro control has nothing to do with this region they were flying in. Depending on which disputed territory you are in there right now will determine who you are talking to. It will be either Ukrainian controlled or Russian controlled. As MikeD showed earlier, there are NOTAMS for the Simferopol area. We just avoid it all. We do no overflights of Ukrainian airspace.
I wasn't counting boats in the Persian Gulf... but you're right!

Don't worry @SenJohnMcCain is on the case!

Bet CNN's Anderson Cooper and Wolf are chomping at the bits for the flight sim to warm up. It's time to play, "pretend NTSB pilot"!!!!!

I think we should all cut the tv off and go outside and enjoy of what's left of this fractured country!

RIP to all aboard MH17. It's a damn shame!!!

i don't speak twitter, what does that mean

Not necessarily twitter speak, but the abbreviation of SME is subject-matter expert. In short, JM is a SME of everything...including airplane incidents over international airspace. His speculation was horrendous and simple fear-mongering...ala classic John McCain.

Ok well why would separatists shoot down an airplane as it was just LEAVING the Ukraine? So many questions, and I know... no answers.

looking through several previous days flights most either went through the center or the southern part of the Sea of Azov and today they were well north of it more towards the Russian/Ukraine eastern border. One flight a few days ago actually went much further to the south.
