Big brother delta hasn't committed to anything (more words here) i know the flight crews would be happy with sea or slc (more words here) we don't have anything official but might say something in a few weeks.......

i think that was the gist of it.
 
Someone on the other site said company doesn't want another base in the Pacific timezone. So using that logic, if they open another base, it could be SLC? Not in the Pacific timezone and they could still move crews around the west coast. I don't know anything in this crazy industry though. I just know bases open and close all the time.

Don't listen to that guy. It could be SLC but it very well could be SEA. There's more to something making sense than timezones.
 
SEA would save on hotel costs, it also has more out and backs right now. SLC is capable of flowing crews around through the NW and Midwest. Its also less limited by crew duty limits. Having the logistics in place to staff future schedules is numero uno, after that the company will look at other efficiencies. We unfortunately don't have the big picture in front of us.

I mean, I'm pretty sure that for me it's gonna be "Flaps two, APU down, watch your crank, run the checklist and give 'em a shout when you're ready," where "FLAPS (__), APU (___), FLIGHT CONTROL CHECK" is written. #notcompassmaterial

You're right, but half of the DTW pilots are flowing in the first 3 classes so it will only be like 15 CA's trying to bid over to MSP.
