Sharing is caring... but i'd hate to hear NTSB recording of one of those types of coupled approaches gone dirty.
So you're saying sharing is caring?Sharing is caring... but i'd hate to hear NTSB cock-pit voice recording of one of those types of coupled approaches... gone dirty.
Anyone have recommendations for crashpads in LAX?
Anyone have recommendations for crashpads in LAX?
Also curious about this.
What is the Compass hotel? Is there a crew rate?

You will love it here man, Ive known alot of people to move from Ohio and none of them went back haha..I'm planning on moving to LA in February. I've never done a huge cross country move like this (coming from Ohio). Will obviously have to have a roommate but don't know where to start. I saw that crashpad411 has some roommate listings but does anyone have any other suggestions or advice? Looking forward to the west coast!
Nothing happened for me until I had a very helpful internal rec. You know anyone on the inside?Anyone located on the West Coast getting hired into LAX. Seems like I'm getting noticed by almost every regional except Compass. Which would be ideal because LAX is practically down the street. No commute, no relocating. Watching for job fairs but haven't seen any out this way for months.
I use the telex 850s. Work for me.Any input on Telex 750, 850 or Uflymike Bose for the E170? Also, it has normal GA plugs right? No weird Airbus stuff
No, other than Jami who I don't even know if he's there anymore. That was last year. Oh well. Life go's onNothing happened for me until I had a very helpful internal rec. You know anyone on the inside?
You've been looking at Compass for like a year right? Anything on your resume that cause them NOT to call? They are calling guys hours after app submission...No, other than Jami who I don't even know if he's there anymore. That was last year. Oh well. Life go's on![]()
Other than doing time for dealing crack and four DUIs, I can't imagine what's on the resume that would be a red flag. You've been looking at Compass for like a year right? Anything on your resume that cause them NOT to call? They are calling guys hours after app submission...
The linecheck is the last thing you do to become a captain here. Fed ride is done at about 15 hours of ioe and is done before the line check.Technically, FOs are still FOs, 3 stripes and all until the Fed Ride is complete. But, because the promotion opportunity selection is based on seniority, it has become a tradition to congratulate at the moment of award, in addition to completion of OE. At Skyway, the Line Checkairman was the first to say "Congratulations, Captain!"
I think the fed ride is going to be whenever available in the very near future. The linecheck is the last thing you do to become a captain here. Fed ride is done at about 15 hours of ioe and is done before the line check.
