Life at Compass

That is fine. If they felt that was a place they wanted to use some of their negotiating power that is up to them. I'm saying, I feel there is bigger fish to fry, and we can gain more focusing on different areas of the contract to improve. Especially, now that we are doing the majority of training outside MSP and hotel rooms will provided outside of MSP.

Listen, it has always been that way here, and I don't need my union using negotiating capital on that. It sucks, but it is the truth. Everyone on the property has had to do it, so the will to get it changed is really really low.

What will happen, is when the company has a harder time attracting applicants it will need to sweeten the deal by providing lodging for them. If people don't want to come here because of the hotel issue, that is their choice. It obviously hasn't been a problem yet, and doesn't look like it will be one in the next 12 months.
i agree for the most part. I think we need to get away from the "because I had to do it, others should do it too" mentality. We should always be looking to make things better for the next guy. That being said, fixing the lodging situation has other things in front of it in terms of making it better for the next guy imho.

Good points as well. Got what you are saying.

Comair used to make you pay also after the first week. Then they had trouble filling classes. So they started paying for hotels for the entirety of training. Just like that classes started to fill.

Started yesterday, excited to be here!

Notes: STL and MCO sims will start up soon, no assignments or plans for who goes where. Was told that deliveries for AA will be moved to 3/mo from 2/mo, and that the company is trying hard to get 20 more. Also, new hires with upgrade mins are anticipated to be checked out in both seats so as to relieve pressure on the training dept when they get assigned an actual upgrade, reducing the upgrade training footprint to a week. LCA for IOE may be the biggest obstacle to the flow of training, since so many are leaving.

Can someone PM me where I can find company info (route maps, domicile info, seniority lists, etc)?

Congrats, and welcome aboard! We are just as equally excited to have you here :-)

2,500 TT, 1000 121 SIC or any other FAR caveat to meet it

2,500 Pilot Time. I was sad when I found out it was pilot time and not total time, and that they got rid of the "or 2000 with 1500 multi".
