Life at Compass

Except that contractually they are prohibited from training from 1300 the day before thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years until 2359 the day after...

So theres that, and I wouldn't plan on a minute beyond...

I'm gonna say you will have minimal time off if at all. They are geared for a major training cycle and cannot afford extended time off during the holiday period.

Recent history disagrees. I had multiple 4 day breaks in the schoolhouse. 7 weeks start to finish.

@ian , for those just joining the thread, how long ago did you interview? I have an upcoming interview and am just trying to gauge your timeline. I'm not even certain if I want to come over there yet, I'll need an offer before that issue comes up.

May 27th for me, was offered a sept 11 date, but I couldn't accept it until Oct 9th. The wait will depend on how big the pool is and classes will be

When the email went out yesterday for class calls there were 46 in the pool. I was #31 interviewed July 8...if you interview now I'd say its safe you would be in Nov classes.

Hopefully new hires will get sent to STL for some training when it really ramps up. That way the company would have to pay for hotels. No word yet about an additional sim being added. I'm not sure if MSP even has an empty sim bay, all my training cycles have been done in STL.

There are no empty sim bays in MSP, but STL will have plenty of capacity to train everyone.
